For Sale: 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 Door Sedan. This is a solid car and is a great starter for a restoration project. The Frame. body mounts. floor and floor supports are all solid. The body is very good except there is a few places that do have filler. The amount of filler is minimal. The trunk floor has some rust at the part of the trunk towards the rear pan. This section is available for purchase and cost approximately $79. 00 new. New section is 10" deep and the width of the trunk. The rust spots can be cut out and new sections can be welded in to repair those areas. It has the original 265 engine but I have been trying to get it to roll (seized). However. I have a 350 fuel injected engine that is included with the sale of this car. It has the original 2 speed powerglide transmission that appears to be functioning. Also. included with the sale of the car is the original rims and hubcaps. At some point it had a new paint job but is not high quality in my opinion.
