Description of 1961 Chevrolet Impala

I bought this car for my son in 2005 and drove it from Cleveland to New Orleans. I had new shocks. tires. battery. starter and exhaust installed. My son drove it for 4 years and then changed to after market headers. intake manifold. cam and carburetor. He then began a full restoration by having a custom body shop strip the paint. smooth the body surfaces and applied the custom paint. The exhaust system was removed leaving only the headers which should be replaced because they are too low to clear speed bumps. Although the car's engine still runs. it is not drivable without tuning and cleaning the fuel system. The windshield wiper motor does not work. The auto transmission is okay but probably needs work. The headliner is missing. but the seats and door panels were refinished in 2004 and have no rips or tears. There are matching rear fender skirts that clip on and the tires are new. but the car has been sitting in my garage for nearly two years. There is no radio and no air conditioner. The heater does not work. The wheel bearings probably need work. Marcustoms (Houston. Tx) did the show-quality body work and paint. The odometer reads 034066 (at least 134. 66 miles -- unknown whether more miles) . Sold "AS IS" with no warranty.
