You are bidding on a unique example of the iconic Impala. Original Tennessee car. purchased new at Coggin Chevrolet in Nashville. TN. Very solid example. all original panels. no patches. Always well maintained with good ownership throughout its life. While the exterior/ interior are not the original colors. the drivetrain is still correct to the car. Much time and effort spent to restore to its current condition. With that said. description as follows: Mechanical: * correct 283 V-8 with 2 speed automatic * factory intake and carb replaced with Edelbrock intake and carb with electric choke. * upgraded to power front disc brakes * original exhaust manifolds with new dual exhaust * power steering * all new wheel cylinders * new brakes all the way around * new starter * new ball joints. tie rods. inner and outer idler arms * fresh front end alignment * new front coils. new shocks all around. new belts and hoses. new battery * runs and drives very well. everything works with exception of the factory AM Interior: * professionally done red and white two tone interior. matching headliner and carpet * still retains original AM radio and attractive Impala steering wheel * all interior lights and gauges work properly Exterior: * nicely done repaint in the color of Porsche 911 GT3 gray black with white roof. Interesting color combo. almost gives the appearance of being black in the right light. * All exterior chrome and stainless is very good to excellent condition. * both bumpers freshly rechromed * Impala rides on custom built 18 x 8 steelies. courtesy of MobSteel / Detroit Steel Wheel Co. Also had custom offsets to help with clearance and achieve the proper look. * New 18" radials. custom cut wide white wall. To summarize: a very unique car. nicely done in and out.
