Description of 1978 Chevrolet Corvette |
| This is my 1978 Corvette that I have to sell because I am moving to a condominium. This car is a real beauty. I had it painted a pearl white about 5 years ago with flecs mixed into the paint. While the flecs are not visible to the eye when the car is waxed and clean they way it catches the light on a bright sunny day is awesome. It looks like it changes color as you walk around it. THERE ARE A FEW CRACKS IN THE PAINT ON THE HOOD AND BY THE DOOR HANDLE BUT THE CAR IS OVERALL BEAUTIFUL AND RUNS GREAT. Both the engine and transmission have been completely overhauled and rebuilt. I have owned this car for 8 years and had the following work done (among other things) on it:New T-tops (case included to store T-Tops)Top sound stereo (Pioneer removable face plate)Ball joints (both lower front)ShocksBall Joints (lower)New wiper motorEngine overhallNew GasketsNew StarterNew BatteryAlignmentThe gauges on the Vette all work except for the speedometer. which I have not been able to work. But since the rebuilt engine I have not driven the car any more than 5. 00 miles totalThe transmission has been completely rebuilt as well. The car is a real strong runner and the manual transmission is smooth. Be prepared to stop and talk to many people about this car. The only flaws left on the car are the speedometer. ( I have been using an app on my smartphone) the passenger door will need a new handle. and the parking and brake needs to be installed and the door locks need to be adjusted. The car is sold "As is" no warranty implied or otherwise and no returns allowed |
