Description of 1971 Chevrolet Corvette

WITH THAT BEING SAID;Proudly presented for auction is a very well preserved and cared for LOW mileage Chevrolet Corvette LT-1. Only 1949 LT-1 Corvettes were produced in 1971. This classic Corvette has been driven just 24800 miles since purchased new by its original female owner on 7-8-1971. All original documentation of original purchase included with sale. Includes original owners manual and sleeve. Protect-o-plate. original window sticker (not repro). sales contract and delivery order. rally wheel trim ring info card. Original T-top sleeves/covers. The overall condition of this Corvette is impressive as authentic. No evidence of any panel replacement or repair. The panel alignment is superb for this vintage. C3 Corvettes were not known for especially good "fit". Correct code 973 Mille Miglia red appears to be original. Still has a glossy smooth shine. but is starting to show its age. Some light checking and thin edges close up. Very few small chips have been touched up. Remember. this is a 44 year old car. It is still a real head turner! The chrome trim is excellent. Bumpers are mirror finish. All glass is clear and free of chips or scuffs. The interior is near time capsule original. No appearance of wear. All gauges are crisp and function flawlessly. including the clock! This is a low option car. Tilt-telescopic steering wheel. AM/FM radio (works properly) and close-ratio 4 speed trans (M21). That's it. no power robbing accessories. This baby was built for its intended purpose. To Perform ! Everything on this car works as it should. including the hidden headlights. hidden windshield wipers . fiber optics (last year for these). emergency brake etc. Mechanically this is a true matching #'s LT-1 Corvette (see photos). It is crisp and tight. The solid lifter LT-1 small block has a sound all of its own. This Corvette is all stock including the correct transistorized ignition and Holley 750 cfm vacuum secondary carburetor. This car runs and drives as a 24000 mile car should. After the passing of the original owner this car sat in storage for several years. A close friend of mine purchased it from the estate last summer as a surprise for his wife. Turns out wifey really wanted something more practical. Consequently he only drove 230 miles (see trip odometer) before offering it to me. I have always been a serious Corvette enthusiast.
