Description of 1953 Chevrolet Other

1953 Chevrolet Sport Coupe. Exceptional condition. This car has been stored indoors for at least the last 35 years. The car is rust free with a repaint approx. 32 years ago. It has the original 235 6 cylinder / 3 speed trans mission and original rearend. The car drives excellent and stops equally as well. All mechanical items function as they were designed. The glass is in perfect condition. no cracks/ fogging etc. and the trim is in very good condition as well with the exception of a couple pecker nats on the side trim of the drivers side. All window trim. felts and moldings are in great shape. All of the chrome on the car is in better than average condition including bumpers. bumper guards and grille. The are two small places on the upper grille bar ( dime size ) where the chrome has popped. The wipers. signals and radio still do work. The interior was freshened up approximately 5 years ago with new original style seat covers and carpets. The dash and window moldings are excellent. no dents. cuts or damage. The tires are the original bias ply and probably should be changed for highway driving. As I had thought of converting the car to a later drive train I ( changed my mind ) have included in this sale a fresh rebuilt ( last month ) 1960 Chevrolet 235 and 3 speed transmission and rebuilt 1957 Chevrolet complete rear end and also includes an extra rear window and stainless rear window moldings. If your looking for a nice early Chevrolet to tinker and play with and show or just drive and enjoy. this would be one that you would enjoy. Please look at the pictures and if you have questions. please send me an email. The car is located in southwestern Illinois. near St. Louis. I will be more than happy to work with your shipper and would require local pickup of the engine and transmission and rear end.
