1988 Chevy Metro -sprint.

This car is badged CHEVY METRO .It is a SPRINT SE on the registration. These things get 40-50 mpg at 80mph when they are on a fresh motor and 30-40mpg at 200k. I bought this car in 2011 it had a blown head I had the engine rebuilt locally.

The compression when I gave it to the guy was 150-90-150. When I got it back it was 150 on all three. ( minimum for this car is 165 on each.)

The guy had it for a year and a half finally got it back in 2013.I suspect all he did was rod and rings and gaskets.

The engine ran rough and blew a head low compression in all cylinders after about 15 miles getting tires and windshield. I have kept it meaning to put it back in service but I see I am not going to. The tires and windshield are new in 2013. The inside is not cleaned up and the seats have some rips in the original vinyl. No codes came up when I checked that I can remember.. maybe egr. This was a tow behind vehicle for the previous owner it has a fold-up hideaway towbar installed. The car was painted with automotive paint artistically by the previous owner. It seemed to keep the car protected. The car is in outdoor gated storage in Oak Harbor Wa. Buyer is responsible for pickup you might need a pin for the towbar.

I do not remember the mileage I am pretty sure it is an auto trannie but I forget :(
