The discovery of classic Corvettes like this car are becoming few and far between. This withstanding original unrestored 1965 Corvette was purchased new and owned by the same gentleman for 50 years. Sold new in Southern California and never left the area, his owner kept the all important original paperwork from his original purchase and retained meticulous service and repair records over the entire 5 decades of ownership. This car has never been modified in any way and the incredible time sequenced service records will clearly show how well this car was maintained. Late in 1964, r. Dennis Hicks of San Diego, alifornia special ordered this highly optioned 1965 Corvette Coupe from his local Chevrolet Dealer, uaranty Chevrolet of San Diego. Built in very early 1965, r. Hicks took delivery on January 30, 965 and began his nearly 50 years of personal ownership. It appears that Mr. Hicks was very loyal to the Authorized Chevrolet Dealer in San Diego as all service and repairs were done exclusively at the Dealer up until very recent years when he began having routine service at a local classic Corvette shop near his home. Mr. Hicks ordered a beautiful, ell optioned car in Ermine White with optional + rare Red Leather interior. Options include the L75 300HP 327 engine, owerglide automatic transmission, ower steering, ower brakes, ositraction, M-FM radio, inted glass and most importantly, he Rare and sought after Factory Air Conditioning. Along with the meticulous and numerous service records, his car comes with original window sticker, hevrolet Protecto-Plate. GM service protection plan book, adio instructions and owners manual. Also included are 49 years of California registration copies showing the same continued ownership from original purchase. This car retains its ORIGINAL ISSUE California Black License Plates registered from new and even has the 2 miniature matching tags sent out long ago by the Veterans Administration both original GM keys are with the car. The damage free, nmodfied body has had a one time overall refinish approximately 20 years ago in the original code CC Ermine White. It is a beautiful high quality repaint that looks near new. All chrome, lass and trim are original and excellent. Interior is very nice as you will see in our photos. All gauges, ptions and controls operate as they should except for a non functioning clock and a radio that works intermittently. This car runs and drives as only an unrestored, ell cared for mid year Corvette can. It is truly a pleasure to drive with good performance, xcellent ride and smooth powerplant. Extensive service by the Chevrolet Dealer over the years including a factory CE engine replacement at just over 100,000 miles, as kept this car in optimum condition. The underside of this car looks only like the cars we see from the Southwest. Absolutely no rust or deterioration of any kind, smooth perfect finish frame and excellent chassis components. Having owned many early Corvettes allows us to really appreciate cars of this pedigree. Great colors, ighly optioned, nmodfied, mpeccable service history, erfect climate location, ne original owner and a treasure trove of documentation all add up to make this one rare opportunity.
