This is a 1964 Newport convertible. This is a PROJECT car. This car doesn't run or drive . The motor is out of the car (can be set in for shipping) I have two motor s for it both are 361's big blocks one is a rebuilt long block needs a thicker head gasket set or a smaller came as the valves tap when you turn it over by hand (never ran) the second motor is a junk yard motor that was running and is complete . The transmission is the org push button and is in the car still .the org rear is in place also, oth of there conditions are unknown. Was told it drove in and it's motor was pulled but can't guarantee this. Car also is 4 wheel drum brakes,brakes are not working,no fluid in the system) the car does steer for loading . So now to the body there's a dent on the trunk lid (no rust)the hood is rust free .the front fenders look good small spot on the bottoms . The doors look great also rust free. The rockers and rear 1/4's are prity bad. The floor pans also need some attention but are not so bad,trunk pan has a hole cut in itfor a battery relocation but looks good beyond that. The drip rails look great too. Now to remedy the rust I have most of the needed replacement metal everything but floor pan patches,but those are easy to fab. All the metal was cut off of another 64 Newport car from Arizona very nice org metal.All the trim and grill is here and all is very nice (there's one small piece of trim that has a small dent (easy fix ) the grill looks new. The interior is all org and all there except the radio.This car looks to be all here and not in bad shape just needs some love. I've done a bit of research on this car and found that there was right around 1100 made in a convertible bad in 64 and it's a one year only style they changed it here and there from the rest of them. These are hard to find in decent shape trust me I've been looking for years to find this one and sadly I got hurt in a car wreck and can no long restore it as planned. This car alsohas sub frame connectors witch is why it's survived and has a set of headers under the hood and comes with a eld intake manifold. The tires will hold air for a few weeks for it to get moved .Shipping is buyers responsible. I can help to an extent for loading .and know a good moving company if you need there info just ask .This car is sold as is .and a $500 deposit is to be made by PayPal within 24 hours of the end of auction. The rest payed by cash in person, ack transfer,or a bank check you can pay the rest threw PayPal but you will be paying the extra fees .Please ask all ?'s before biddin, if you can't afford it please don't bi, also please ask your wife/girlfriend first before you bid only serious buyers please.
