Description of 1972 Chrysler Newport Coupe

Up for bids is my privately owner 1972 Chrysler Newport. It is a true survivor with only 49,079 miles on it. I do have the original build sheet for the car. Always garage kept but it has its fair share of scratches on it due to it being in a garage with things being moved around it. All panels on the car are the originals and line up perfect. Doors do not sag when opened and shut like new as the trunk lid and hood. The car originally sported a vinyl top. it has been removed and the top has been painted in satin black. All the vinyl top trim is still in tact. The engine has never been modified in any way. It is the 400 Cu. In. with 2 barrel carb. The transmission is the 727 Torgue Flight Automatic. It has new duel exhaust from the engine manifolds back to and including the tail pipes. The interior is near perfect. Only flaws are a good size rip on the drivers side seat at the seam and there is a small piece of carpeting missing in the back passenger side footing area. Dash does not have any cracks, door panels, headliner, and the rest of the interior panels are perfect. Everything in the car is functional except the air conditioning and the fan switch only runs on low. Interior lights, dash lights, exterior lights, door buzzer, radio (w/ 8 track), all functional. The underside of the car has all original floors and trunk pan with no holes, rust or rot. There are 17" American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels on the car with Nexen Radial Tires on the car now but the stock 15" wheels with radial tires and original hubcaps come with the car also. The original bias ply spare tire is in the trunk with original jack. This is a nice driving land yacht that smoothly glides down the road.
The auction will run for 7 days. If you wish to see the car or send someone to inspect the car for you before bidding, it can be scheduled for you. The car will be sold in as is, where is condition. This is a private sale and does not have a warranty. I have described this vehicle to the best of my knowledge so please respect my 100% positive feedback. Please ask questions before placing a bid and please have ready funds if you do bid and end up the winning bidder. I reserve the right to end the auction early if the car is sold locally. Thank you for your understanding and Happy Bidding!
