Description of 1956 Chrysler Other Firedome |
| 1956 Desoto Firedome Station Wagon I have been told there are as few as 30 of these cars still exist from parts cars to a very few if any done to this level. Exceptional paint with very straight panels. Stainless trim polished to a high level. All chrome plating done to show standards. All panels fit as they did from the factory. All glass is original and shows very well for 59 years. The original Hemi V8 runs nicely and the transmission and rear end work properly. Has power steering and drives nicely down the road. The exhaust system is average but not up to the standards of the rest of the car. Wipers. horn. lights. and electrical work appropriately. The interior seats. headliner. door panels. and carpets are new and done as it was originally. New radials installed and the spare tire is believed to be original. The very rare factory Desoto-matic clock in the steering wheel is new old stock and was found never used in Germany. It self winds when the steering wheel turns. Included is an original 1956 Desoto Dual Four Manifold and Air Cleaners. This does not include the carburetors. These are one year only and very rare.
