Description of 1963 Chrysler 300 Series -- |
This 1963 300 convertible is a powerhouse, driving on a 413ci 360hp V8 with a cross ram intake tied to a three-speed Torqueflite push-button automatic transmission. One of only 1,535 convertibles produced for the '63 model year, this car is extremely well equipped with power steering, power windows, window washer and AM radio with rear speaker. Upon walking up to the car in its beautiful Festival Red exterior, it is obvious that it has been well cared for and maintained since its high-end restoration. On the interior, the white vinyl is offset by black carpeting, dash and door inserts, bearing the iconic 300 model name. The 300 absolutely lived up to consumer expectations in power, styling and luxury and this presentation definitely does not disappoint. In 1962, Chrysler launched the 300 series (non-letter series), a series that was designed to be a luxurious muscle car. The car was intended to provide all the muscle expected of a Dodge or Plymouth with all the creature comforts expected of a Chrysler. The car had an expansive lineup of options and trims and was widely regarded as a fitting option for those who didn't want to give up on performance for the sake of luxury. Unless otherwise stated, mileage on odometer is exempt and unknown if original. |
