Description of 1966 Chrysler Imperial CROWN

A very rare 1966 Imperial Crown Convertible. one of 514 produced for 66 model year. The last year of the 10 -year run of true Imperial convertibles. 67 and later cars were dolled up Chryslers. not a separate make and chassis as were the 57-66's. 90. 900 miles. Car is a nice rust-free California car. unique Turbine Bronze paint with black interior and new top. Body is good and straight. glass is good. The paint is OK . Seats are very nice. power buckets in front and seat covers good front and rear. Carpet is good. Dash Pad needs new cover and door panels need work. Car was purchased in Southern California. New Convertible top with refurbished side rails and hydraulics. Engine has new ignition parts and fuel pump. The big 440 engine runs smoothly without smoke or mechanical noises. We replaced ignition. fuel pump. fuel sending unit. water pump. and rebuilt gas tank. Runs and drives but needs some mechanical and electrical attention before it can be driven long distances. Electrical needs some trouble shooting. but everything is there. AC is in place. but will need rehab. 3 new Tires. one still good with lots of tread and as far as I can tell transmission is good. I have driven the car a little and the suspension seemed OK. It steered very well. nbsp;Power steering works. the car sits level without sag. Brakes work and they stop the car. nbsp;but would recommend a re-do. Basically this is a nice car that needs TLC to be a fun driver. or it's an excellent rust free candidate for restoration and or a potential Parade vehicle.
