Please read entire ad here. too - --- Now about this car : This car IS a 1988. The genius ebay computer will still not recognize the European VIN# though. so we have to post this as a 1980. Ebay people: Fix this please! I recently imported this car from the UK in order to sell. I really enjoy these cars. and this looked like a cute one. so I snapped it up on my last buying run in England. As you can see this car is Right Hand Drive. nbsp; may take some getting used to. but my wife got the hang of it in about 5 minutes! Car looks very nice. nbsp; but under the body there is some rust. Frame appears solid. nbsp; but there is one hole in the floor I saw underneath. nbsp; although it does not show when the carpet is pulled back and photos taken (See photos). There is some rust in a rear fender. and under a window on the door. nbsp; I have taken photos of these areas to share with you. PLEASE do NOT expect a show car. nbsp; or a perfect cosmetically-speaking car! Give me a call to discuss the areas of concern. I want the buyer to be happy and not surprised with anything! This car appears to have had a bit of an amateurish restoration not long ago - There are many new parts and fresh paint on this car. but do not be fooled. nbsp; it is NOT 'restored' and far from cosmetically perfect! I'll detail the problems for you below. Mechanically. nbsp; the car is great. I have been using it as my daily driver for the last week or two. and it is a blast to drive. gets a lot of attention. and does look great. I take it up to 55-60MPH. no problem. and it has more to give. Starts in the button. and has a surprising bit of get up and go for a 602cc 25HP car! Appears to have a new fuel pump. Carburetor works great. and starts perfectly from cold through warm. Brakes feel strong and do not pull to one side or the other. Transmission shifts well and is not noisy. Clutch feels great and grabs like new. Top and windows do not leak at all. The plastic/ vinyl that is glued to the firewall (That you see from inside the car) has peeled back now though. nbsp; and is ugly. Looks easy enough to peel off and glue up new trim to like nice. Otherwise interior looks very nice - Seats are great and carpet looks new-ish. Door panels intact and look good. All door and locks work. All glass is good. Roll-back 'convertible' top is new. All lights work. Horn works. Wipers work. Parking brake works. Tires look like new. (Correct Michelins. too!) All doors open . shut and lock properly. Missing radio antenna on the LH side front fender. Seat covers look either newer. nbsp; or are in amazing original condition. Engine does not smoke or make any funny noises. nor does it have any leaks whatsoever. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. right now. nbsp; given enough time. It will likely top out on the freeway at about 60 or so. Now hear this! ; This is a 26-year-old car that has some rust in it. It was pretty primitive when it was new. These are charming and a lot of fun and get a lot of attention. I AM SELLING THIS CAR WITH NO GUARANTEEs at all. nbsp; other than it WILL come with a clear Oregon title. nbsp; which was just filed for last week (Will arrive in 3-4 weeks) - I am a licensed. bonded car dealer (Oregon License # DA4226.
