Description of 1972 Citroën

You are bidding on a rare, authentic 1982 yellow and black 2vc Charleston. As per common practice, it was registered years ago as a '72 and that has continued. This car is in excellent condition and is driven daily in nice weather. Bearing 84,558 original kilometers, (about 52,000 miles) it is solid throughout and can be driven any distance as is. The car features a new master cylinder and fluid reservoir and new front disk pads, and a new clutch cable. The interior was replaced a few years ago in the original pattern and color and is like new. Tires are decent but not new. While it is an excellent daily driver, a few cosmetic flaws need to be addressed to make it perfect. The top is relatively new but a while ago, when opened in the half way position, a strong gust of wind blew it back, resulting in tears of a few inches where it attaches to the body on each aide. This has not caused any rain to enter, however, and remains more of a cosmetic flaw than anything else. Since that time I just roll the top back completely and fasten with the straps provided as shown in the first photo. A slight ding in the trunk lid was covered with the wrong yellow paint and it has not been touched up with the correct color. It could use some buffing out. There are also little white dots on the black area of the inner door. Again these can easily be retouched. The original dealer's decal remains on the truck lid, though faded. Car has always been garaged and spent much of its life in Southern California. The black fenders appear to have been retouched at some time, but the yellow and the decals look original with minor nicks here and there that can be easily addressed. In addition, there is evidence of a repair to the right front floor pan as shown in one of the photos. A small hole remains in this area. In the trunk, there is some surface rust in the rear corner, but no rust through. Again, see photo. The car always starts and always runs flawlessly. We had it up to 75 miles per hour circling Richmond Raceway during a promotional event. Bottom line, this a great original 1982 Charleston in the rarest of color combinations. It is priced to sell with all of its minor cosmetic flaws taken into consideration. The opening price is considerably more than I have invested. Regrettably, a family situation forces sale. I had one exactly like it that sold for more than $13K five years ago. So don't miss this opportunity. You will not find another as good as this one at this price. Offers lower than the opening bid WILL NOT be addressed. I am happy to answer any reasonable questions unless they are completely idiotic, which often happens here. NO phone calls, no BS. This is an honest and well-loved car that is a pleasure to own and drive. It pains me to sell it, but that's life. We are located south of Richmond Virginia, with easy access to I-85.
