It was a significant piece or automotive history because it got the French away from horse drawn rides into the people’s car. It was the first front wheel drive car to exceed 1 million units of production. Often called "an umbrella on wheels” has a roll back canvas top because steel was hard to come by after WWII. This car (VIN VF7AZKA00KA121186) is an ’86 Special and runs great. It is the larger air-cooled engine making 29HP and can function on today’s highways. The paint is really very good with no rust. The Michelin tires are like new and the brakes were gone thru in 2019. The top was replaced and the seats were recovered at that time as well. All the lights and gauges all work. It has 97000 kilometers (about 61000 miles) -a couple thousand of which were put on by me.I have driven the car to lots of car shows and enjoyed it but it is time for me to move on.
