Description of 1973 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

Custom 1973 VW BugThis car has been completely redone with new pans and new brakes. The car also has suicide doors and all handles on the outside were shaved off and the body lines were filled to give it a modern look. The roof was cutoff and the windshield was shortened 6 inches and a custom one piece removable top was made. The headlights are special with the german iron cross in them and you will not find another set on any other bug anywhere. The paint was added which is a three color combo with custom pinstriping. The interior has custom front seats which were stitched to match paint and the dash was smoothed out and painted as well with the same three color combo as the outside. also look at the door jambs the paint continues onto the jambs and onto the dash. The rear has been custom made to house two twelve inch subs. hidden completely. and upholstered to match. The whole car was carpeted also. The engine is a NEW 1776 engine with all new parts including electronic distributor. electric fuel pump. alternator and the carbs are 46 Webers. The engine has 300 miles since installed and the carbs are tuned to perfection . starts and idles excellent. All steel parts of the engine were done with a special treatment of grinded metal and coated with a special candy paint. This engine looks like no other. you will be amazed how it looks in the sun. The top is made from aluminum tubing which comes off as one piece. It is covered in a black canvas material. it is fairly done but you may want to get it redone if you are looking to put the car in shows. The top works great and no air flows into the cab when it is on and it will stay on as fast as you can drive the car. There are custom made wind stops placed at the sides of the windshield that help deflect wind and can be removed if you don't want them on. All exterior chrome was treated to look like brushed nickel and gives it a very unique look which you will not find on any other bug. This car is in great shape. it does need a few minor touches but it is ready to drive and go right now. You couldn't come close to building this car for any where near this price as the engine alone as almost $3. 00. not including all the parts such as alternator. carbs. etc. I do not have the time to use this car and it has been sitting for two years and I use it very little. so it needs to go.
