Hi, 'm selling my Datsun 521 in good running condition. I've owned it for 3 years and put a lot of work into it but last week I was hit riding my motorcycle and can't work so I need the money, L16 engine is original with compression at 170-180 in all 4 cylinders. This is an extremely reliable engine: 2 valves per cylinder SOHC with an iron block and aluminum heads at 96 hp.Changed oil every 3 months with valvoline and bosch filter.There's no noises in the motor. Never overheats and never leaks.All wiring and relays are working, cleaned to fuseblock and connections and replaced fuses.In the last year, eplaced alternator, lternator bracket, attery, tarter, hermostat, elt, oses, lugs, ap, otor, oints, lutch cylinders, rake pads, rake cylinder, -joint, ires, nd rebuilt carb.Lights, linkers, nd wipers work.Speedometer, uel and temperature gauges work.Oil pressure and ignition lights work.Odometer doesn't work - only the last digit spins.Radio doesn't work.No heater.Cigarette lighter doesn't work.Horn is there but isn't connected.Body is mostly straight. When I bought it, t was painted white with some of the paint chipping away. The exposed metal had surface rust but it wasn't very deep. Working a section at a time, removed the paint and bondo and removed the rust with naval jelly. Then I did 2 coats of 2k epoxy primer. There are a few small areas where the rust is coming back but its nothing compared to the way it was. It also needs some bondo.The brakes work fine but only after pumping them twice. I bled the lines and theres no leaks in the cylinders and found the front left pads need to be adjusted closer to the drum.I'll include the haynes manual, ftermarket shorty header, nd mild camshaft.Registration is current, nd pink slip in hand with clean title.
