Description of 1976 Datsun Other

1976 Datsun 620 Pick up, ong be, utomatic transmission. This truck has been my daily driver for a few years. It's originally a West Coast truck, ow located on Long Island, Y. It's the original drivetrain, n all matching numbers truck. It has the L20B overhead cam 4 cylinder with a 3 speed automatic. It runs great and shifts perfectly. The induction system was converted from the stock EGR smog choked downdraft carb to a SSS twin SU set up. The carbs were done by Paltech. The motor was finished with a jet hot coated header, luminum radiator and electric fan and fuel pump for smooth reliable cruising. If you know these trucks, hey came with Drum Brakes all around, ven up until this model year. Not very driveable. This truck was converted to Front Disk Brakes via a Mike Klotz conversion kit. This is the proper stuff, t uses Nissan Hardbody components. It also has the larger bore Z car Master Cylinder for extra stopping power. Everything on the drivetrain and suspension was restored, ll new suspension joints, hocks, ubber fuel lines at the tank, rive shaft joints and even the carrier bearing is knew. As I described, his was my daily driver. A very reliable and cool truck for car meets, ight work, r just an easy commute.

This truck gets more attention than my Z car. I get asked if it's for sale constantly. It is truly a unique little truck and right now they are beginning to rocket in their collectability. There are better ones than this one, ut they are twice the price. Take a look and please ask questions. It's not new, ot a repaint, t looks 40 years old (but pretty good for that), t has it's leaks and quirks, ut everything works and it is a solid little 620 that's worthy of daily transportation as soon as you own it. Thanks for looking.
