1971 Datsun S30 240Z Original Dry Weather Arizona Car ~19k Miles (post full restoration 2009-10) Kilimanjaro White w/ Black & Blue Interior Completely Rebuilt Stock Spec Engine Z-Therapy Carburetors & Mallory Ignition Ceramic Header and 2.5" Mandrel Bent SS Exhaust Close Ratio 5-Speed & R200 Rear Complete Suspension Rebuild Toyota 4 Piston Front Brake Upgrade Air Conditioning w/ High Capacity Blower Retractable Shoulder Seat Belts Assortment of Z Literature Included I'm downsizing my collection and this beautiful 1971 Datsun 240Z is available. This is an original dry weather Arizona car that was restored in Texas (completed 2010) and now resides in Northern California. The exterior is pristine and straight with no dents, o dings, nd no rust. The paint is gorgeous...deep and mirror glossy. The interior is just as clean with no blemishes worth mentioning. All underbody components were removed, leaned, nd refinished to prevent rust formation. The chassis was truck bed liner coated to provide an additional layer of rust protection and dampen NVH. The interior received equal treatment with all new surface coverings and a NOS dashboard (not a cap). The original radio is retained and a very cool Nakamichi CD head unit is cleanly installed in the glove box. During interior process, ynamat was added to the floors for more NVH dampening. There is a rare factory hand throttle control in the center console that can act as cruise control (tension effect). Air conditioning, ower windows, ower door locks, nd alarm w/keyless entry were added for creature comfort. Lighting performance has been upgraded with a Hella H4 conversion and dedicated relays. The exterior mirrors were upgraded with Z-Store flush mounts. The L24 engine was fully rebuilt to factory spec with all wear parts replaced. It revs smooth and powerfully without a hiccup thanks to perfectly synced Z-therapy carbs. The exhaust note is throaty with increased power developing from the MSA 6-into-1 ceramic coated header and 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust. The ignition system has been upgraded with a Mallory Unitlite distributor and MSD Blaster coil. The close ratio 5-Speed shifts crisp and accurately, moothly transferring power to the R200 rear. The entire suspension was rebuilt with all new factory equivalent or upgraded parts and she handles like new. Stopping performance has been increased with a 4-piston Toyota brake upgrade. The Z rolls on Michelin tires wrapped around 14" era-correct "Appliance" aluminum mags. Drive train fluids were recently changed, ncluding the engine oil, ransmission fluid, oolant, nd differential oil. This 240Z drives and performs wonderfully, robably better than new. I get compliments every time I take it out for a spin. It's stored indoors and driven regularly to keep the ill effects of stagnancy at bay, ut still retains very low mileage status.
