Description of 1968 Datsun Other 1600

This car is one if the cleanest. mechanically excellent examples I've seen in some time. I bought it from a man whose father bought it new. This car can be driven anywhere as it runs very well. All brakes excellent. All new exhaust system. Freshly. professionally steam cleaned. (Important preparation for paint work. ) New softop just fitted with zip-down window which is great for ventilation. (best to fit before paint. ) Has very good power and shifts well. The odometer just hit 100k! The car does need paint but is absolutely rust free. Floors and trunk floors are beautiful! Even many interior panels are still in good shape having so few miles. Paint. some chrome work and carpet kit are what is needed. (The missing trim piece and headlamp ring are present and all remaining stainless trim pieces are in very good shape. ) All locks are in good working order. ignition lock is the late type. All electrical components as well as the heater working well. Wiring harness in excellent condition. I would hope that the car would be painted the original Silver which is a very tasteful color having a small metallic flake unlike modern cars. Some may be aware that an identical model sold last year at the Amelia island auction for $50. 00! Current California title/registration. The car is advertised locally and may end auction early for local buyer (SF bay area).
