Description of 1982 Datsun Z-Series Turbo

1982 Datsun 280ZX Turbo (Engine: L28ET) for sale - Moving to Japan so I need to sell it. Turbo, automatic transmission, 157k miles. Radiator, battery, fuel injectors, head gasket, brake master cylinder and carpet were replaced about 2 years ago.

Runs really well. Has a little rust around the windshield, needs to be removed, sanded and re-set - I sealed with sealer but will drip a little in the rain. It was brown, I sanded and painted it but had a couple of small runs. Never wrecked, and no more than usual rust on the bottom, body is straight. I pulled out the radio and replaced with a Bluetooth thing, still have the radio but it didn't work well. The bluetooth installation only spliced in to the power wire, so all original radio wiring harness is there and untouched.Resprayed some interior bits black (from brown) but didn't finish.

I've replaced the fan relay, so the heater & defroster will work, and the AC blows, but isn't cold - likely just needs a freon charge. There's a missing tooth I believe on the flywheel, so 1 out of maybe 100 times you start, it will grind like if you try to start it while the engine is running. Starting again it works fine. It has never done anything while running.

It needs some love but has been a loyal daily driver for a few years now. Replaced the stock muffler with a Spintech pro street 6000, and it sounds great. Turbo is strong, on-ramps are a joy :)

Power windows work, Door locks work, cruise control works

Needs:

Coilovers or work on the suspension (squeaks a bit)

Finish interior

Replace dash cover

Seat covers are cheap Autozone, the original seats are serviceable, but don't look good
