Description of 1973 Datsun Z-Series

.This is a 1973 Datsun 240 Z I got up in Oregon along with a couple other cars The fellow I got this from was trying to restore it while he kept driving it.It needs to be gone thru. It needs pretty much everything. It was a blue with white interior Z that someone painted bumble B yellow. poorly. Along with bad bodywork. I mean he has bondo, fiberglass etc here and there with really no rhyme or reason. He had most of the interior stripped out. Window glass is out, door panels are loose, Seats are original and shot. There are some parts in the rear, glovebox door, door window frames, tail light finishers, tail light lens, fittings, etc. The floors have rust and probably will need replacing to do it right. The drivers floor below the seat is rusted thru near the floor rail. The inner front wheel arches are nice. As is the spare tire floor . The driver side dog leg has a lot of bondo over it so that needs replacing. The passenger side not as bad. Lower front fenders are rustfree. The engine is out of an earlier 240Z. Better than the stock 73 detuned emission year engine it came with. The stock engine number should be L24 171241 with L24 100494 in there now. We did a compression check and came up with 150,140,135,140,145 and 145. Has nice vintage Appliance mags with good tires. Runs and drives enough to say that it does. I would not take any high speed runs with it as is, though. The fellow I got it from was driving it fairly often. But without windows, probably not much in rain or snow. . I drove it back to my car hauler from his house about 10 miles. At nite. No problem. There seems to be some smoke that may or may not clean up with running it more. I would just figure going thru this whole car to do it right. But it is a car you can hop in, turn the key and drive down the road in. How far, I have no clue. This is a total project that needs to gone thru from top to bottom, in and out. I travel around mostly the west Coast and might be able to get it to you or close for reasonable money. I can arrange shipping to Long Beach California shippers for export for $300 no problem. Early Zs are getting harder and harder to get in any shape these days.Has straight clean Oregon title .
