Description of 1967 Datsun Other

Vehicle Details

This auction is for a 1967 Datsun 411 wagon with a clean title. It was completely restored after sitting in San Jose since 1983. The only rust was in the lower rear quarters and that was cut out and replaced with new sheet metal. The front drum brakes were replaced with Infinity G20 disc brakes and a 3/4 Willwood brake master was used as an upgrade from the stock one. The rear drums received new wheel cylinders, hardware and shoes. The shocks were all replaced and the front suspension was completely done including upper and lower ball joints. The centerlink was in good shape so it was not replaced. The car was lowered in the front using Datsun Roadster competition springs and the rear was lowered using a 2 inch set of lowering blocks. The stock J13 motor was locked up so I customized the front subframe and oil pan to accommodate a stroked R16 motor. The SSS version of this wagon came with an R16 but this one is stroked to 2L. It has the stock SU carbs a 411 SSS would use and I made a custom header to exit out the drivers feder well just like the SSS version of this wagon. It has a Datsun Roadster 5 speed transmission and the stock 4.11 diff and rear end. The stock radiator was rebuild by a shop and twin electric fans were installed. The exterior was painted Datsun 562 Teal and was done in base/clear. A full skimcoat was not done so there are some waves and imperfections in the body. All of the glass was in good shape except the front windshield so I located one and had it professionally installed. The interior was done in black vinyl with the piping matching the exterior Datsun 562 teal. This included the front stock bucket seats, the rear bench seat and all 4 door cards. The rear lift gate panel was missing when I got the wagon and I didn't have one made yet. The original headliner is in the car but had a rip so I tried to put a black cloth headliner on top of it but it didn't seem to want to stick, so a new headliner will be needed to be made. The dash still needs to be covered but all of the gauges work and the pod was updated with LED bulbs. A DC outlet was put in to charge your phone and a small heater with defrost vents replaced the original heater. New carpet was installed after sound deadening material was used. I did not install a radio as I loved the sound of the custom exhaust that I had installed. The paint is 4 years old and has a few dry spots in the clearcoat but is a solid 8 out of 10 and is a great 5 foot car. In it's first car show it took a top 20 out of nearly 900 cars, mostly American muscle. The wheels are from Rota and are 15x7 and have nearly new tires on them. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but I will help get it loaded. Cash, Escrow.com or certified check is accepted as payment. If paying with certified check the car will not be available for pickup until 3 days after the check is deposited to ensure it clears. Message if you want any additional photos.
