1983 DMC-12, 5-speed, black, Serial 017017 VIN SCEDT26T9DD017017 52,300 miles, today (I am still driving). Cosmetically excellent throughout, interior and exterior. Serviced by PJ Grady 1987-2017. Functionally sound and cosmetically excellent. Engine is very strong. Yes, A/C is working! ;) After owning this car for 30 years, I no longer have time or place to properly maintain and protect her as she rightly deserves. This car has just spent the last 2.5 years at PJ Grady and Rob has gone through restoration process thoroughly. Rob would be happy to take your call and discuss this car, which he knows very well, having serviced it for me since 1987. Just mention the license plate 121GIGAW and my name, "Bird." Only 2,000 miles on brand new tires. Steel frame will need to be replaced in 5-10 years from now (estimated by Rob Grady inspection this July). This is the only significant flaw for this DMC. Timeframe depends on many environment and use factors. Cost is something like $6K for frame and $6K for labor. Talk to Rob. Very show-worthy. Day after I picked her up from Grady, I drove 10 hours and back to Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix car show, where she got major attention among 3,000 cars - 8th largest show in the world. Link to video tour(s) is available. Known issues: Original FM Radio is not working (AM is, for some reason). Heater/Cooling blower is noisy (screams at certain settings). Coolant tank should be replaced with stainless upgrade. I have complete service manuals, 30-year collection of DeLorean World magazine, and more ephemera. Can be viewed by appointment.
