Description of 1955 DeSoto Fireflite Fireflite Sportsman

For sale my Desoto fireflite hard top coupe from 1955 .
This is the top of the line ( besides the convertible) for the year .
Engine is 291 ci Hemi with 4 Barrel carburator
It is complete .It is in a nice driver condition .Chrome and interior have been done some 10 years ago and is in good shape save some chrome peeling on the front bumper .The car has never been restored and is all original .A layer of paint has been applied over the original paint probably when chrome andinterior have been refurbished .It starts drives and brakes like a charm .Only item not original to the car is a dual master cylinder but the car brakes much better with it .The steering wheel is a recast on original core with a few hairline cracks but overall very good Some rust starts to pop through the paint in places like the trunk edge so although looking ok on the picture the car would need a full paint job .If you are interested please contact me so we can discuss further .Pictures are speaking for themselves in terms of the overall shape .Car is priced based on Hagerty value above a #4 fair but below a #3 Good .
