1951 Desoto custom station wagon VERY RARE ONLY 1440 made

Selling to high bidder no reserve

RUNS AND DRIVES ( no brakes)

Running flathead 6 ( has blown head gasket)

Engine has a rebuild tag dated 1962

It fires right up and idles perfectly, within a couple minutes it starts smoking/ steaming white out the tailpipe???? and gets pretty heavy

Last licensed in 1967

Running off fuel can and electric pump and hot wire

I am sure the tank need cleaned

New spark plugs and wires

6 volt positive ground

Temp gauge is working

Charging system working

Oil pressure gauge is working

Dome light works

Right taillight works

Right front park light works

Headlights did not work

Glove box liner is intact

Do not have keys so unable to test turn signals, heater, and a couple other electrical systems the are on keyed power

BRAKES ARE NOT WORKING

Tiptoematic transmission works (drove up and down my block)

Very good tires

Complete car but missing radio

Rear seat is VERY clean folds down too!

Rear window rolls up and down(glass is broken)

Windshield, quarter windows, front door and vent glass and left rear door glass is good. Right rear door glass is cracked

All windows roll up and down

All door open/ close very good, they don’t sag hardly either

This is a somewhat rare desoto wagon only 1440 made from what I could see

It is rust, need rockers, floors and work on roof rails in a few spots, rear gate lower inner and outer,rear window upper channels are rotted out, right doors need bottom inners and outers, probably other spots are rusty too.

All the trim is either on the car or it’s in the back

missing the hood ornament

Have signed original Washington title ready to go
