| Gorgeous. retro. and rare Japanese classic. 1989 Nissan Pao up for sale. Imported from Osaka. Japan. All paperwork taken care of. and a clean VA title is in hand. Just got a fresh VA inspection. and all brand new tires. This little gem is one of just a handful in the country. People everywhere will stare. point. and ask questions. Corvette and Porsche drivers will even be jealous of the positive attention this gets. I have met many wonderful people in the time that I have owned it. The Pao has been a great daily driver for me. all while getting outstanding fuel economy. The vehicle comes with all the associated paperwork from the importing process. This little Nissan would make a great daily driver. weekend cruiser. or even an advertising vehicle. • 1. 0 liter. 4 cylinder engine • Automatic transmission • 126. 91km. or about 78. 74 miles (will go up slightly. as I still drive the car) • Power retractible canvas top (works flawlessly) • 35-45mpg! (I average about 40) • Right hand drive (very easy to get used to. and makes parking. and getting the mail easier!) • Rare and most sought-after color • Seats four comfortably (I'm over 6ft. and have plenty of room both front and back!) • Rare fog lights. cup holder. storage tray. and parcel shelf. • Lots of room in the back with the seats folded down (I took all four new tires to the shop. in the back) • Very comfortable to drive. and handles great. • Reliability has been bullet proof. starts every time. and runs like a top. It was available as a three-doorhatchback with or without a textile sun roof ("canvas-top"). the canvas top being the most collectible. The Pao was one of three fashionable spinoffs of the K10 Micra — the Figaro and Be-1 being the other two. Like the Figaro. the Pao was sold without the Nissan name and only by reservation from January 15 through April 14. 1989; orders were served according to their date of placing. The Pao sold out in 3 months and remains a sought after and collectible car. with only about 51. 57 made. Part of Nissan's "Pike" series. it was designed as a retro fashionable city car in the mold of the Be-1. It included external door hinges like the original 1960s Austin Mini which had become fashionable in Japan. 'flap-up' windows like those of a Citroën 2CV. and a split rear tailgate of the first British hatchback car the Austin A40 Farina Countryman. They are rare cars. even in japan. and will only go up in value. |
