Description of 1992 Dodge Ram 3500 D350

For those of you looking for a lowmileage, early untouched from factory, nd almost flawless first generation Dodge Cummins, ere It Is !
This vehicle was purchased from anindividual in California a little over two years ago. Theseller had purchased it from the original owner acouple of months prior to selling it to me. When the vehicle was picked up, flew out to California with a certified Cumminsmechanic. The vehicle at the time was site unseen and the both of us were overwhelmed at how great of shape the vehicle was actually in uponourarrival. It hadjust under 63,000 miles on the odometer. We did a quick check of the vehicle, aid the seller, ought fuel, nd drove back to Texas.
Once back in Texas, noticed a small drip on the transmission and had knowledge that this issue was common for these vehicles. Ireplaced the transmission, eplaced the tie rods, ushings, tc, hen drove and have driven over 30,000 miles without one singlebreakdown. (YES, HE ODOMETER MILEAGE IS ACCURATE)
Thevehicle was used to commute back and forthfrom West Texas to Dallas, exasapproximately 800miles roundtrip and at least once a month. It has only been used once to pull a trailer (Uhaul) by mesince being in my possession.
It does not appear that the truck has been used for any extensive hauling although wasequippedfor it by theoriginal owner from the factory.
I havecompleted various minor upgrades to thevehiclesince owning.
(Mechanically) Transmission and Transmission Cooler, ront Brakes and Rotors, ront end tie rods and bushings, ll shocks, nbsp; All Tires (currently 80 percent or better).
(Performance) Removed thefactory muffler and made strait with chrome tip (Sounds great, ot hideous, nstalled Centramatic wheel balancers on the front Axle.
(Convenience and Cosmetics) Replaced the original dingywindshield and rear tail lamp lenses, nbsp;installed Extang trifold bed cover, nstalled chrome wheel covers all around (Note someonestole the front two center caps a few months back while it was eating at arestaurant in a less desirable part of town), nstalled a locking fuel cap, installed a double socket accessory plug, nstalled a new heavy duty Interstate battery (nothing was wrong with the old one, ut wanted to update), nbsp;I also modified the hood latch so that the fluids can be checked without having to enter the cab.
The vehicle has a Cold A/C, M/FM/CD player, ruise control, ower door locks, ntermittent Wipers, ower Windows, ower Mirrors, inted Glass all around, nbsp;Factory hide away gooseneck, t even has a vent near thedrivers side firewall for ventilation without being exposed to the elements. There is a factory engine heater plug in toowhich was used acouple of times but i have started thisvehicle in single digit temperatures without the plug in and it neverfailed me.
The vehicleelectrical system and components were built when things were simple therefore there areonlya hand full of fuses, couple of dummygauges, ith the rest being readable/useful gauges. Everything works perfectly with no dash or warning lights on thatshouldn't be and all lighting working as it should (with theexception of one single back up lamp that has a corroded socket)
Thevehicle exterior is reallygood condition, ut is not perfect. It has little if any rust but does have someflaking paint in places. Thefrontbumper is bent slightly and was like that when I purchased it.
Themotor has been very well taken care of. (Notice the fluidswritten near theirrespective reservoirs about the engine compartment. These were written on here when i purchased thevehicle presumably placed by theoriginal owner) The vehicle got a verythorough inspection by my hired Cummins mechanic and has numerous check ups since purchase. I use Schaeffer oilproductsthroughout thevehicle, hose that know this product know how valuable this isto the life of the vehicle.
The original owner had an upgradeddifferential installed at the factory which makes for a verynoticeabledifference. The speed limit in West Texas is 80 mph in places, his truck will easily drive at this speed with thecruise control set. I use to own twosimilar trucks in the 90s and they were doing good to cruise 65 mph.
The vehicle iscurrentlyparked in my garage and I check for leaks of any kind constantly. (There isabsolutely no leaks of any kind as I would not allow in my garage)
I would nothesitate to drive this vehicle with or without a trailer anywhere in the US or Canada right now. This vehicle has been driven in all types of weather from single digit to tripledigit temperatures and it never failed me once. This vehicle was my daily driver for the past two years and it always started without hesitation the first time, very time.
There are some things worth pointing out to the discriminating buyer. The headliner is sagging, ne of the back up light sockets is corroded and inoperable (Not required for inspection here in Texas), he rear brakes need to be replaced, he front bumper is bent slightly, he battery securement bracket was worn and Ireplaced it with a ratchet strap instead, nd lastly, he front end isdue for some work again in the future. These vehicles are notorious for front end issues due to the weight of the motor. I havereplaced the entire front end once and maintain by greasing it everyother week. The Centramatic balancers have helped the front tire life too.
(NOTE I will have rear brakes and headliner fixed for the full asking or buy it now price)The original window sticker and ownersmanuals are in the glove box. I also have four sets ofkeys of which two sets are actualexacting originals that I was able to get made by an old locksmith that is now retired and closed. These keysjust add to the nostalgia of the vehicle.
I still drive this truck acouple of times a month, o the mileage may change. Please note that the Title although clear is a (Bonded Ttitle) this wasbecause theindividual I purchased itfrom nevertransferred it into his name officially prior to selling it to me thus causing titling issues on my end. Not a big deal at all though, onded does NOT mean Salvaged or any other thing associated with negativity, nbsp; The bond part of the title expires in another yearmaking it a regular title at that time. By then, he vehicle will be anAntique and will not matter anyway. I have full documentation of the vehicle onfile with the state and everything was done lawfully on my end. The new title is in my hand.
I even had custom plates added to thevehicle all issued by the State of Texas. (NOTE THAT THE LICENSE PLATES WILL BE REMOVED BY ME PRIOR TO RELEASE OF VEHICLE AND ARE NOT FOR SALE)
Thevehicle is located in the Dallas area for those that would like toschedule an inspection and/or viewing.
I need a non refundable $500 deposit by thewinning bidder within 48 hrs of the sale. This can berefunded ONLY if something about thevehicle not disclosed isdiscovered during the inspection.
Theremaining balance must be paid within 7 days infull or the item (vehicle) will beforfeited.
I will not release the vehicle or title until ALL FUNDS CLEAR MY BANK or Hand of Course for Cash). Funds consist of CASH, oney Order, r Cashiers Check and if any of this isintimidating thenplease move on to the next vehicle. My seller required the half of the purchase amount wired into his accountimmediately and it was over a month before I was able to go andpick the vehicle up. Serious buyers will not let restrictions stand in the way of apurchase. I reserve the right to end the auctionimmediately if a bid meeting myexpectations is accepted.
I am not desperate to sale thisvehicle but I am motivated by money. I get thumbs up andinquiries about thisvehicle every time its driven. This was my dream truck and a lot nicer and morereliable than the previous two that I owned in my younger years. Isimply not driving to West Texas anymore and need space in my new garage for another planned purchase by the wife. I sincerely hope that this vehicle makes itinto hands that will take care of a respect as much as me.
I will not deal with low ballers or scammers so find another target if that is your intent.
Buyeris responsible for pick up of the item (vehicle), ut I am willing toassist withthis (At Buyers Expense) and this can be discussed at closing
