Description of 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Laramie Cummins Diesel 12V

This is one of the nicest 2nd generation Ram Cummins 12V in the country. I recently purchased it from the original owner and performed all necessary preventative service on it.
This is a original, ust and accident free, alifornia truck with 62k miles, araged its entire life. Original paint shins like new.
This was how it was when it came out of the original owners garage. It wasn't steam clean or polished or detailed. There is absolutely nothing that this truck need to hide.
This truck will come with a 1 inch thick folder with every record since day one, ncluding option sheet, indow sticker, redelivery inspection, very service organized in periodical order. Record shows that this truck was over maintained.
I will describe the condition of the truck to the best of my ability: I was in the automotive industry for 15 years and have a good baseline for evaluating a car. I welcome potential buyer/s to inspect the vehicle in person. I can help with shipping and handling on my end.
This is a early production 1994 model and does not come with a catalytic converter. Its a pre 1997 diesel so no smog necessary.
Services performed since I purchased it. I wanted to make sure anything that it needed or I was in doubt of, as addressed.
- Oil changed with 15w-40 Delo + Lubromoly additive and OE Mopar oil filter and drain plug gasket.
- Fuel filter replaced with Donaldson
- Replaced prefilter filter screen and gasket. Inspected fuel heater and its in perfect shape and not leaking.
- Replaced air filter
- Performed thorough coolant flush with water until its clear and refilled with Zerex Extended Life and distilled water.
- Replaced thermostat with OE Mopar/Cummins thermostat and gaskets
- Inspected waterpump and its in perfect condition with no lateral play in the bearing and turns very smoothly
- Removed front engine cover and installed KPD (killer dow pin) hold down kit with longer bolt and blue lock-tite.
- Installed new Genuine Cummins front crankshaft seal and engine cover gasket
- Applied blue lock-tite to all bolts sensitive to vibration.
- Replaced front and rear shocks (all 4)
- Removed transmission pan. Installed new OE Mopar transmission filter. Adjusted transmission bands (both). Installed new pan gasket and refilled with OE Mopar ATF+4
- Installed new transmission mount
- Installed new vehicle speed sensor (looked wet around the o-ring and figured I replace the unit)
- New in box bull bar (front brush guard) that I have not installed but included.
- Removed differential cover and wiped down accessible surfaces (very clean), esealed cover and refilled with Redline 75w-90 full synthetic GL5.
- Installed new wiper blades.
Cosmetic condition:
- Original paint still shines like new. No clear coat fading or peeling. A few tiny rock chips on the front hood area and on the bottom of the rockers.
- Zero rust or corrosion
- Minor scratch marks on driver's side bumper plastic ( picture provided)
- One quarter size ding on the rear bumper.
- Seat covers where purchased from the original selling dealership and installed for the entire life of the truck. The seats shows close to new.
- No cracks on dash, o major blemishes on the interior.
- The camper shell is a Guidon Renegade and was installed in 9-1994. The paint was color matched to the truck and was done to a very high standard. No paint fading or clear coat peeling on the camper shell. This was $1,500 at the time.
Mechanical condition:
- Engine starts right up and maintains a steady idle. Engine does not smoke, as good power and performs as it should under all conditions.
- Transmission shifts positively in all gears under all temperature conditions. There are records for several transmission services during its life.
- Everything works on the car from cold AC to power windows and power mirrors. The only thing that I noticed of fault is the cruise control button on the steering wheel feels loose, ut it works fine and looks fine.
- Suspension is tight and handling feels confident.
- Brakes still have plenty of life left
- Tires are Micheline and has 60%+ life remaining. No cracking or dry rotting.
- A/C is very cold. Heater is hot. All interior features work.
- Truck has a nice smooth ride.
