Description of 1975 Dodge Dart Sport

1975 Dodge Dart "Hang 10"
Special factory edition
AM/FM Factory Radio
Factory Power Disc Brakes, ower Steering
This is a beautiful, ery rare, 75 Dodge Dart Sport Hang 10.
The car runs and drives beautifully.
This car was purchased in Florida from a classic car dealer in 2004. After driving the carwe realized that the '75 slant 6 wasvery underpowered. We contacted a gentleman who was involved in racing the old 6 cylinder cars. He converted the engine by changing out the head (early 60's higher compression), eplacing the manifold and carb with a 2-bbl set-up off a late 70's Aspen (Dodge Super-Six), nstalled a true exhaust header, nd a much larger exhaust system. It sounds and looks stock, ut runs far better. It is now a well performing car and is fun to drive!! We have the original parts other than the exhaust system.
The interior of the car is near perfect. The pictures show it well.
The exterior is also very nice, ith just a very few minor blemishes.
The front bumper has about a 1" square defect in the chrome, own below...it is hardly noticeable.
There is a scratch in the corner of the rear bumper, gain, lmost unnoticeable.
There are a few little marks and dings but none that stand out or are noticeable.
The vinyl roof is near perfect.

Overall, he car shows and runs very well.

We have driven it many miles to many different car shows and it performs flawlessly.
We have driven it to the Iola Car Show in Wisconsin, hich is over 250 miles from here, nd it ran perfect.
They have featured it in their Theme tent and have even included an article on it on their website and in their "Old Cars Weekly" magazine.
The car haswon many trophies over the years as it is very unique and is in"show condition". The last trophy it won this summer was for "Best Unrestored Vehicle".

Everything works as it should.... the air conditioning, he heater, he radio, tc.
We have the original Owners Manual and a large Dealer Binder that describes the various features and options on a Dodge Dart.
The surf board was in the car when we purchased it, nd we have always left it there to show off the unique (at the time) fold down rear seat.

The trunk interior is very nice.

The car really needs to be seen ...it's not perfect, ut it is very nice!! I believe it could be driven any distance, f you wanted to drive it.

It is available for inspection at any time in Brainerd, innesota.

For those who are not familiar with the car, he Hang 10 was a special edition décor package that was limited to the latter half of 1974 and 1975 only. The surfer motif extended through the interior with some of the wildest paint and upholstery available in a production car ... and more than the usual amount of "orange" (we call it red) paint on the dash and console. Total production is estimated at less than 800 ... making this one of the rarest and most seldom seen Dart models!
The white vinyl seats and door panels were inset with panels of red, hite and navy striped Sunbrella like fabric ...designed to stand up to those sandy, et surfer bodies. The red shag carpet extends into the fold down rear panel. The rear bench seat folds down to stow that long surf board. The special surfer decals accentuate the front hood and side panels. (Ironically, he Dodge advertising refers to the carpet as orange shag and the striped panels as orange and black striped, ut they are truly more red, ust as the pictures show.)
