Description of 1978 Dodge Magnum XE

You are bidding on a 1978 Dodge Magnum XE. This is a two owner car that has been garaged kept most of its life. It has the 360 cubic inch with a Mopar Performance dress-up kit installed. The engine/transmission are original to the car. Both have only 39. 00 miles and neither have not been rebuilt. The transmission is a 904 with a lock-up torque converter. It is completely loaded with every option available in 1978 except for the T-top roof…. which usually leaked anyway after a few years. It has: Power steering. Power brakes. Power windows. Power locks. Power drivers seat. Cruise control. Tilt wheel. and Air conditioning…. which was still blowing cold as of Aug 2014. It also has the factory Am-Fm stereo. Delayed wipers. Factory gauge package to include the rare tachometer and digital clock. The interior. except for headliner. is all original with no issues at all. All of the glass is good and chrome molding shines. The bumpers still shine with nice chrome. The motor that operates the headlight doors does NOT work. These can be rebuilt for about $100. 00 or you can still find used ones. The headlight doors can be operated manually and rotate freely with no binding. The car drives exactly as a 1978 car should. It’s certainly not as tight as a new car but there is no no drifting. no pulling and no front end diving…. it’s a tight car. nbsp;brakes stop the car perfectly. There has never been any rust on this car at all. none in the floors. quarters. fenders. etc. Just minor surface rust underneath on drive-train. which is normal on any car that is not a trailer queen. I have installed a 2. 5" stainless steel dual exhaust system from TTI which is “THE” exhaust if you have a Mopar. Looks at the photos. exhaust system alone retails for $639. 00. I have replaced the original 8 ¼” differential with the much stronger 9 ¼” from a 1979 Chrysler 300. It has the factory 3. 21 gear ratio vice the original 2. 45 which allows for a much quicker acceleration experience. Additionally. I have installed the larger torsion bars and front sway bar from the same Chrysler 300. It came with the factory rear sway bar. I have installed the 1978 factory Mopar Rally’s (15 x 7) with tires that that have many miles left on them. The rally wheels alone are valued at $400. 00. The only issue at all is a piece of driver door molding where someone obviously needed to get in the car when they locked their keys inside. That is how I purchased the car. but I do have a replacement piece of molding that will be included with the sale. When car was stored in my shop. some transmission leaked onto the car from the vehicle above. Car is not damaged at all. just had to touch up the paint around the rear glass. Carburetor was rebuilt 4 years ago but could use another going thru since it's not driven that often. about 5 to 6 times a year. It has an Edelbrock AFB 600 cfm carburetor. so it has a manual choke on it from when I bought it. Runs great once warmed up. about 3-5 minutes. I will also include the factory service manuals…a $75. 00 value. This Magnum is NOT show quality. but it is one of the nicest drivers you will find anywhere. I have owned the car for 6 years and have put about four thousand miles on the car with no issues whatsoever. You will NOT find a nicer Magnum for the starting price of $2500. 00 with NO RESERVE. I have accurately described the car. check my feed-back. I will need a deposit of $500. 00 within 48 hrs thru Paypal. The balance is due within 7 days of auction closing. I will accept Cashier’s Check. Money Order or a personal check. as long as it clears my bank before the car is picked up. I would like to have the car picked up within 15 day of auction closing. If picking the car up personally. I will also accept cash payment for the balance. I can hold it longer pending your truck carrier. I know they sometimes run late on pick up. no problem there. I will help the truck driver load and take pictures as it is loaded for my record and yours. Any questions please ask BEFORE bidding. CLEAR TN TITLE. Will only sell to US buyers only. Vehicle is being sold "AS IS". no warranty is offered or implied. If you have less than 25 POSITIVE feed-backs. contact me before bidding or your bid will be removed. I apologize for that requirement. but I've been burned before. On Dec-16-14 at 06:16:06 PST. seller added the following information:You are bidding on a 1978 Dodge Magnum XE.
