Description of 1940 Dodge Other

Up for sale is my 1940 Dodge sedan. This car has been in my family for nearly forty-five years. The car had been sitting is Dad's garage from 1975 until 2010 when I decided to freshen it up and get it back on the road again. I drove this car to car shows until it quit running on me in 2013 (put approx. 50 miles on the new tires)at which point I parked it in the garage. I haven't had time to mess with it again until this month. I did a compression test on the motor on 09/26/15and discovered that there is very little compression left.I am trying to be a honest and thorough as I can be, hough it is possible that I may forget some detail here or there. As such, o not hesitate to send me a question. The following is a list of the work and/or brand new parts that have been replaced between 2010-2015:

  • New paint (Macco one stage enamel with integrated clear coat)!
  • New three inch wide whitewall tires ordered from Diamondback Classics(less than fifty miles on the tread)!
  • New brake shoes!
  • New brake hoses!
  • New wheel cylinders in back!
  • Converted front disc brakes up front!
  • New master cylinder!
  • New brake lines!
  • New rims, ubcaps and beauty rings!
  • New shocks!
  • New fuel lines!
  • fuel tank dropped/boiled out and sealed!
  • New fuel pickup lines replaced in tank
  • New sending unit !
  • New fuel tank straps added!
  • New water pump!
  • New fuel pump!
  • New points, lugs, ondenser, otor, istributor cap, oil and wires!
  • New hoses
  • New timing chain!
  • New crankshaft sprocket!
  • New camshaft sprocket!
  • NOS freshly rebuilt carburetor!
  • New oil filter!
  • New brake switch!
  • New muffler system professionally installed from the exhaust manifold to the tail pipe!
  • New belt!
  • New battery cables!
  • Brand new battery (09/26/15)!
  • I should point out that the spare tire well has rust through. The passenger side vent window has a crack in it and the running boardswerejust meant to betemporary (you can get replacements through EBay). There is also some small rust spots that are located in the door jams and the headliner is gone. The wipers, dash lights, eadlights, aillights, icense plate light, ome light, eater/defrost all work (radio has been disconnected for years and I am not sure if it works). The spare tire is the original to the car, s are the Illinois license plates and owner's manual. I have numerous spare parts that go with the car that are in a box.

    Thanks for looking
