Description of 1991 Dodge Stealth

NO "MAJOR ISSUE"
1) 18 May... Car has passed smog for CA
2) 18 May... Car is fully registered for CA3) 18 May... Car has no road tolls or fines4) Road tolls will take 90 days to clear from the system... Driver MUST keep receipt with them. I actually paid the road toll fees several years ago, but because I didn't renew registration for several years while the car was garaged, my previous payment through AAA was only registered with the tolls authority as of yesterday 18 May, when I registered the car. The Lady assisting me emphasised and stressed that I must keep that receipt with me for 90 days until the payment clears the system.
A VERY EXCEPTIONAL RIDE AND VERY ENJOYABLE TO DRIVE
I would hop in this car and drive it cross country in a heart beat.
I love this car... always keeping it in top condition... Maintained to schedules and THEN SOME.
I live in Australia; and own two of these cars, so I'm sell one of my cars; hence, I'm selling the R/T FWD Automatic, and keeping the AWD Turbo.
THE GOOD:
NON-SMOKERS (both the original owner and myself);Burgundy Carpeting (A real Beauty!)All of the plastic components on the car are in very good condition; these include the interior panels, headliner, dash, vents, and very importantly the wiring harness and electrical connectors, door rubbers and hatchback rubber seal. This car has almost always been stored indoors, and it shows. The mileage has been put onto the car during 4 to 6 month stays each year while I was in the US. The rest of the time the car was always garaged.The headliner & visors look as good as the day it left the showroom;The dashboard doesn't have any cracks or tears- needs two new vents though, these can easily be replaced (available at 3SX);Very nice interior, no tears or rips... just missing one of the plastic panels in the trunk;I've had the R/T for over ten years, here's some of the maintenance performed:Clean engine bay;Alignment; the steering is very tight- if you turn the wheel 1/2" the wheels will respond without sway;The engine starts right away...has excellent compression and responsiveness and is immediately reacting to throttle and is very strong- Rebuilt Heads, All belts and Timing Belt Water Pump, & several Sensors @ aprox. 100,000I just serviced a servo that controls idling... engine idles at about 690 - 710... well within specs of 700 +_50;Newly rebuilt ECU@ aprox. 90,000 These have circuitry lat lasts about 100,000 or 10 years. I bought last week by mistake that you can have instead of- turned out to be a burnt fuse, not the ECU !;New O2 sensor (there is only oneO2 sensoron this car, so that makes things simpler);Rebuilt Automatic transmission @ aprox. 75,000 very strong and shifts perfectly fine;2 New motor mounts;New radiator @ aprox. 70,000;New radiator cap @ yesterday (a very inexpensive insurance policy at $6);New front-end bushings @aprox. 90,000New ceramic disk brake pads @ aprox. 90,000Fully functional hood and hatchback lift rams.
THE BAD:
The Driver Seat has some small tear damage as is typical at this usage;Scratch on door fender areaIt needs a CV joint replaced ($100.00 for the part, $250 for labor?);The trunk is red, and one door is slightly darker, so could do with a paint job to bring it all together;The doors doth have Twin Turbo emblems on them, I don't like logos, so I swapped doors with my turbo;ABS doesn't work (anti-lock braking system) This car came with the same Larger Callipers and Larger Rotors as a Turbo model, needs sensors installed for the ABS to function though... That being said, the car brakes extremely well. The car uses the larger 17" Turbo rims and wheels in order to clear the larger rotors and callipers.
These cars have a large and motivated enthusiast club and has a healthy after-market parts and accessories availability
I am booked to fly back home to Australia on Sunday 22 May, so will close sale if not sold by then;
THE CAR IS ALSO ADVERTISED ELSEWHERE, SO I WILL NEED TO RESERVE A RIGHT TO PULL THIS FROM AUCTION IF IT SELLS THROUGH A DIFFERENT VENUE... I'M NOT TRYING TO BE DIFFICULT, I JUST NEED TO SELL IT, as I don't want to keep paying for a garage.
