Description of 1958 Dodge Other Pickups

Well as I stated in my other add its time to sell off some of my classic's so I am offering up my 1958 Dodge Power Giant (power wagon) series. I bought this truck from the 2nd owner in which they owned her and stored her in the garage for 35 yrs. prior I was led to believe it was a Ca. dept of forestry truck but have no way to verify that other than b4 I painted it she was dark forest green under the grey primer and had a radio antenna we removed and filled in the roofSince then the truck has had a lot of improvements. 1. V-8 277 cid same motor as the 318. 1. 5. new shifter boots on 4wd lever and transmission shifter. and a very cool gear shifter handle 2. Brake pedals no longer come thru the floor but are swing pedals now. 3. Custom made front and rear bumpers and grill guard. 4. wiring harness upgraded. 5. upgraded leather bench seat with built in cup holders and arm rest that folds up to fit a 3rd person. 6. upgraded headlights and taillights. and turn signals all work and work well. 7. some original gauges work but some did not. it has a new dash mounted temp gauge. fuel gauge and oil pressure too. 8. original speedo works and is very accurate. 9. gas tank was removed from the cab and a custom mounted fuel tank was mounted under the truck between the rear frame rails and filler neck was molded off. 10. the floor pans are original and had no rust thru so I cleaned them up sealed and line-x the floors. and the entire cab inside 11. original wood door panels 12. new side glass on both driver and passenger 13. heater works great. 14 windshield wipers work too. 15. dash is uncut and original. even though there are speaker holes in the doors and a antenna but no stereo. 16. We stripped the truck down did the body work that was needed no rust repair was needed. 17. there was no tail gate so I found one used that needed work at a cost of 250. 00 just for the gate. no counting body prep time. 18. then we painted the truck single stage Desert turquoise a factory dodge color with a white cap and white headlight doors. 19. running boards where removed stripped and painted black when we painted the front and rear bumpers. also has a receiver hitch 20. wheels were painted body color when we painted the truck. 21. factory dash stickers still there on how to engage into 4WD 22. new shifter custom 357 revolver handle 23. bed is new 3/4 plywood with line-x coat. I was actually going to use this as a truck but the paint is too nice for me to ruin. 24. I do have the original air cleaner from the factory. 25. I also have custom made diamond plate alum. bed rail caps but the paint is too nice and the top bed rails are beautiful and don't want to cover them but will include them with the truck. 26. true miles on the truck are unknown. 27. Engine compartment still needs inner fenders and firewall painted and detailed+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Truck runs and drives good and is very solid but it is still 57 yr old truck no way around it but it is a great looking old truck that gets a lot of attention. The doors shut solid and the truck runs good shifts good and goes down the hwy at 55 mph with out issues. The frame is rock solid with no evidence of rust just surface no scales of rusty crap. Original divorced transfer case and 4 spd trans. and it will climb a tree in 4 low rangeoriginal 5th wheel side mount all 16" with original split rims. all the wheels came factory on the truck they look like dually wheel but these were what came on the truck in 1958. This truck was a daily driver b4 I tore it down 10 months ago for upgrades always starts right up but is cold blooded more than any old car or truck I have ever owned. I let her warm up at least 10 to 15 min b4 I even think about driving her or she coughs and spits until she is warmbrakes work good. steering is tight doesn't wander all over the road. all lights work. brake lights. turn signals. head lights high and low beam. license plate light and interior lights all work. As always. I ask if you would like to bid please be able to pay if you win the auction. THIS IS A GREAT OLD SOLID SURVIVOR TRUCK THAT IS 57 YRS OLD AND IS NOT NEW. ALL I ASK IS THAT YOU HAVE A PLACE TO KEEP HER INSIDE OUT OF THE ELEMENTS SO SHE CAN SURVIVE ANOTHER 57 YRS. Truck has current registration and insurance and is in my rotation of 10 classics that I own. I drive each and everyone of my cars and trucks on a regular basis. I am trying to uphold my deal with my wife for the new yr and trying to thin the herd of classic cars and trucks for 2015. And as always once the truck is paid for it can stay as long as needed for you to arrange shipping. I have never had any unhappy buyers ever please feel free to look at my past history. I don't sugar coat cars or trucks to sell them. Also you are welcome to come see and drive the truck just give me a call we can set up a time if you are a local potential buyer. I will work with all shippers and carriers 24/7 to get it to you as fast as possiblePlease contact me if I failed to cover anything that concerns you or if you have any other questions feel free to call me. text me. or email me . Thank you for you interest in my old girl. my name is Bill. /p>(209) 304-7352
