Description of 1971 Dodge Challenger Base Convertible 2-Door

Low production, real 340-4 barrel motor ordered in rare high-impact yellow paint. All power options including quick ratio power steering, power disk brakes, power windows & power convertible top. Build to Canadian specs per the factory broadcast sheet. This car was never rusty and never needed any replacement metal panels, even the trunk floor is original!
Provenance that differentiates this car from the others:
Galen Govier Registry Letter & fender tag decode.Original factory broadcast sheet removed from bucket seat back.Owner historyPurchased from the Fred Phillips collection in Alberta, Canada.Featured in Mopar Muscle magazine centerfold.Original door VIN emblem & original dash VIN plate on original dash pad.Body numbers on radiator core support, cowl and motor all match build sheet as they should.Maintenance records documented.
We have enjoyed this car for close to ten years, regularly maintained the car including recent exhaust replacement with correct pipes, resonator, mufflers with Chrysler Pentastar and NOS chrome tips. The tires are also brand new. The rallye gauges, gull-wing spoiler and overdrive transmission was added.
Interesting facts:
Dodge did not build a 1971 "R/T" convertible. Only R/T hardtops were made in 71. However, Plymouth made 1971 'Cuda convertibles with optional 340, 383, 440-6 barrel and the hemi. This particular Challenger with 340 and a great color combo is a Value in the collector car/musclecar market. A similar 'Cuda 340 in Curious yellow paint would bring a six figure hammer price in the upcoming auction season.
