Description of 1978 Dodge Other Pickups Adventurer

Please bear with me. This is the second time I have typed this all out. I will try and let you know everything I have done in sections.
Engine:72 Chrysler 400 cubic inch V8. Was not locked up when pulled from the car. It was running when parked. Engine was disassembled. New gaskets, oil pump, water pump, timing chain, one wire alternator, crank pulley. Aluminum intake with used edelbrock carb on it. New distributor. NO exhaust
Transmission:727. Looked like it had just been rebuilt when I had it apart. I rebuilt it anyway. New clutches, steels, etc.
Drive shaft:New u joints throughout. New center bearing.
Rear end:Original untouched 3.55 (approx.) open dually axle.
Tires:Brand new matching set of 6 Transforce AT tires.
Brakes:Brand new front calipers and pads. One rotor was replaced. New rubber lines. Needs the metal lines done. Brand new power brake booster and master cylinder installed. Again, needs lines done.
Fuel:Has the in cab tank installed and plumbed to the fuel pump. There is a saddle tank installed as well. One of the straps is bad. This tank isn't plumbed. Needs line from fuel pump to carb.
Cab:Floors were all rebuilt. Rockers were patched where needed. Roof was bad. This has been repaired. I capped it with the front inner panel from a regular cab. I ground all the spot welds. Cut the A pillars. Cut the roof across the top, around 8 inches back. I notched the outer roof of the crew cab, and I slid the new front inner panel over the notched section. Matched up the A pillars. Welded them 360 degrees. Welded all the spot welds on the inner panel. Seam welded the joint between the inner panel and the rear crew cab panel. I welded over the top of the cab, solder filled it, and then used filler to smooth it out the best I could. Turned out decent. Dimensions are right, as the windshield is installed, but needs a lock strip. Rear window is in the cab as well. Dash is installed. New autometer gauges are installed in the dash. Light switch and ignition are installed. Most of the wiring inside the cab is done. New weatherstrip was installed around the front door openings.
Front doors:They were poorly patched and painted. Not much there for door bottoms, but they match the exterior. Very wavy. I can possibly include one rust free front door. I can't remember which side it was.
Rear doors:The passenger side one on the truck has been poorly patched and painted. Not much there for door bottom. I am including a RUST FREE set of rear doors from a 72 D200 with title. The driver's side has had the outer skin taken to bare metal. Need finished. That door is currently taken apart. Passenger rust free rear door is still together.
Fenders:New lower patches were installed. This repair turned out much better than the doors. Otherwise, fenders are rust free. Inner fenders are also rust free. Surface rust on the underside. They were wire wheeled, primed and painted on the top side.
Radiator support:Was wire wheeled and painted. Better than most, but some rust there.
Hood:Rust free. Inside was painted black. Outside has a section that is peeling in the bird bath area on the passenger side.
Bed:Rust free. Came from a regular cab long bed pickup from South Carolina. Was taken to bare metal on the outside and painted.
Wiring:Kwikwire harnes has been installed. Most of the underdash is done. Gauges are wired. Need senders installed, which I have. Fuel tank sender is installed already in the in cab tank. Needs tail lights wired. Some miscellaneous stuff here and there needs done. Head lights, front turn signals, starter relay and alternator all done. Sending units wired, but senders are original ones and need replaced with the autometer ones for the gauges. New 5 gauge autometer gauge set has been installed in the original dash.
Heating: Heater box needs installed.
Interior:I have a really nice front seat in black vinyl. I have an OK rear seat. I have a set of 4 door panels. Fronts are black, rears are tan and need painted. I don't have any floor covering. Needs seat belts. Dash is done.
Steering:Seems tight. Tilt column. Column is wired. Does have some issues. Could be prettied up for sure. Key is there for the ignition. Shifter is hooked up, but I wired up an aftermarket ignition switch that came with the harness on the dash.
Currently has a 92 D350 Vin tag on the dash with a clear title. My intent was never to sell this truck, but my body just won't allow me to have a tow rig as old as I am. I don't think I would be able to walk after 5 hours in the truck due to all my issues. Rust free rear doors come with a second title. That title is a 72 D200 crew cab title. It is complicated, but I will assist in anyway necessary. I am a lover of vintage vehicles, and the only reason I am getting out of my crew cabs (you will see 3 listed in total for sale) is because I bought a brand new truck for my tow rig.
Even the sum of all the parts is worth WAY more than the opening bid. If someone bids, this will sell. NO RESERVE The tires alone are worth more than HALF of the opening bid. The rust free rear doors alone, then could make up the rest of it. Bid happy. I have my eye on a 4 door hardtop I want....
Have questions? Ask. I have tried to be as truthful and honest as I can. I probably have hundreds of pictures of this truck. I tried to pick some good representative ones from my computer.
