Description of 1973 Dodge Dart sport

You are buying a 1973 Dodge Dart Sport 340.This is a basically complete rolling body and is an ORIGINAL 340 CAR and not a clone. This is a SUPER SOLID Arkansas car that has been sitting for over 35 years and the ORIGINAL fender tags, build sheet, door jamb sticker and body stamps all match.

Steve's Musclecars & Parts, Inc

The car was parked in the early 80's when the engine was damaged. The engine and transmission were removed and got lost somehow. I do not have the 340 engine for the car but do have a small block 727 transmission this is included.

The car was repainted in the late 70's but the jambs are original paint and all body panels are the originals to this car (except for the driver fender). The car is SUPER SOLID and has never been in the northern road salt. The underbody is super clean and not rusty at all. The frame rails, inner fenders, floors, trunk floor, firewall, roof, doors, fenders, are all very solid. The only rust is in the very bottom rear of the passenger quarter panel and a small place on the very front of the driver side rocker panel (from a mouse nest). The driver side quarter is very solid.

The doors, hood and trunk lid open and close fine and the windows (including the original windshield) are all very nice. The rear glass has the very rare electric heating grid that was first used in 1973. All the stainless trim looks nice with no major dents and no missing pieces. The grille and tail lights look fine with no cracked places and very nice color.

The front bumper is from a 1974 and has had different holes drilled to make it work with the 73 brackets. It looks fine for a driver. The rear bumper is the original.

The interior is in very nice condition for its age and is original. The seats covers are not torn and the console looks good with no broken places. The dash pad is cracked but the dash frame and all plastic looks nice.

The original rallye wheels are all excellent and have BRAND NEW TIRES. These tires were purchased in 2014 and have not been used. I put them on this car as I thought I was going to make this into a nice driver but plans changed.

This is a VERY HIGHLY OPTIONED CAR and has 2 fender tags. It has A/C, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, 8 1/4 rear end (no sure grip), bucket seats, console, rear window defogger, AM/FM radio, FOLD DOWN REAR SEAT, inside hood release, performance hood treatment including FACTORY HOOD SCOOP, rallye wheels, dual exhaust with bright tips, white side stripes. Basically this car has every option except sunroof and vinyl top.

The hood scoop is a CORRECT ORIGINAL That has been professionally restored and is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.

The car has all the factory original rallye heavy duty suspension that was unique to the 340 cars such as front sway bar, heavy duty torsion bars and springs, power disc brakes and 8 1/4 rear end.

This car has been off the road for 35 years and is a project car but is an excellent car to either mechanically restore and drive or completely restore if wanted.

I have a CLEAR CURRENT ARKANSAS TITLE in hand.

The car rolls and steers fine.

I also have a complete good running 340 4 barrel engine and 727 transmission available for an additional 500.00.
