Description of 1949 Dodge Power Wagon Heavy Duty 4x4

Civilian model 4x4, long bed, built in limited quanities yearly after the war in the 1960's. These were slow, heavy duty, expensive and virtually unstoppable trucks. These were not your regular Dodge pickup trucks nor were they military trucks (which people tend to often confuse with).
I've owned the truck for a year, the previous owner had the truck for 30 years. It was built in Los Angeles, CA. It's unrestored and a true survivor, original equipment, not pieced together from several different trucks, like some you might find. I am believed to be the 4th owner. Fire department owned it as a scout vehicle to check fire roads and breaks for 20 years in CA, than sold to a ranch in the Santa Barbera area, owned for 20 years, sold in the 1990's to the owner before me and I purchased it last year. It has spent 99% of its life in dry weather CA, until it was shipped to New Jersey last year, where it was be in a heated garage. My storage is running out and unfortunately, this has to go.
Original Engine was overhauled and radiator was re-cored in the 1990's. Runs and drives, starts right up hot or cold weather out, even after long periods of non-use. They are geared low, so you won't get many parking tickets.
Before the previous owner sold the power wagon he had the differentials fitted with new seals/gaskets, transmission resealed, transf case gaskets replaced too, etc, etc. Front ball axel joint wheel cylinders, brake lines, master cylinder rebuilt, new wiring harness (6 volt) and more. Should be good for years now.
Solid CA truck, cab in excellent unrestored condition, bed is a bit banged up as you might expect, but presentable and good for its age. Original and solid. All of the panels, fenders, running boards, doors, cab, etc are all the original equipment it came with. 2 out of its 5 tires are in good shape. The truck is equipped with PTO Braden Winch and the period correct rear Carnagie heavy duty step bumper.
It may require paint, basic interior(seat headliner), fresh flat glass and weather stripping depending on what level you want to bring it to. Basically, just needs cosmetic. The hardwork is done. This truck did come factory red! Parts new and used are readily available for maintinence and restoration needs. MEchanically very sound.
This is an auction, reserve shouldn't be given out, but it's realistic. Bid up to what you want/willing to pay.
Truck is over 60 years old unrestored and no warrenty. Less than 5 feedback contact, prior to bidding please. $250 initial paypal due at auctions end.
