Description of 1978 Dodge Other Pickups adventurer

Runs and drives excellent, you can drive it home assuming you live on the continent. 440, 727, 4:10 Dana 70. I bought this truck several years ago, it had been off the road since 1993 and stored. The engine was rebuilt around that time and installed. It runs very smooth. Mostly original paint as the pictures show. The roof's paint is thin to gone on the passenger side, i've included a pic. I believe this truck has been in Southern California all its life so the condition is typical of a that. The body has scratches, chips, oxidation and wear etc so it is not pristine but is very nice overall. The pics show the condition well. Here's a list of what i've done within the last few years:
new Firestone tires (19,000 miles on them now)
new brakes (pads and shoes, 19,000 miles)
new shocks in the rear
removed both fuel tanks and flushed. Replaced all fuel hoses except for the large tanks filler hoses.
new rear end oil
rebuilt original radiator
NOS alternator (60amp)
rebuilt the thermoquad
new dampener (the old one broke)
new water pump, belts, cooling hoses
new brake booster and master
upgrade the dash to the woodgrain, added the stock tach and the metal gauge cluster
new door weatherstripping
Those are the highlights, here's what it will need:
the upper control arm bushing are rotten and should be changed. (it drives great as is)
the a/c is not charged but it is complete
cruise control doesn't work
hazard lights don't work
the transmission needs a new pan gasket as its wet
windshield gasket needs replacing as its rock hard and leaks
Overall its a very nice running and driving truck and would be great for a Cummins conversion or keep it as is. Most of the work has been done and its reliable and passes California smog if you live here.
