Description of 1936 Dodge Other Pickups

What your are looking at is a Barn/Shed find 1936 Dodge Brothers Ram Pickup Truck with L-6 flat-head six cylinder with a manual transmission. This truck came from California desert area in the 80's and came to be on the East coast during that time. The past two owners restored it to what it is now. The body and frame are solid with all the accessories are nearly there on the entire truck. It has the artillery wheels including the spare tire assembly which is hard to find original. The interior is intact and has been reupholstered and still in great shape. The front windshield has been permanently installed, these usually had the roll out windshield and someone use body filler to trim it in. All the windows are in tact only the passenger side has been cracked which replacements can be made for 85-100 dollars or you can get a new set from DCM Classics (Dodge Central of Michigan) fairly cheap. Everything for the truck that came from the factory is on the truck or I have it that goes with it. The truck has the extra spring setup on the rear axles along with the solid metal bed inside. The doors are solid with no rust through showing, they shut tight and easy to open and close with just a push of the handle.
When I got the truck it did not run, I had to strip the old wiring out due to someone putting a 12 volt system in it with no regulator to the six volt and melted some of the old wiring out inside the dash. I have put a temporary wiring harness to start it and move it around. I ran a few wires back into the cab to get it running and have a video of it starting a running for several minutes. It will start easily and run but as I began to put water in the block for testing it started to leak out of several cracks on the driver's side. Someone had not put antifreeze in it when it was stored and it developed several short to long cracks on the block that leak water out on the driver side where the wall is thin. It has too many running on the top, middle and bottom area to repair and would require another block to make it right. I have located several same era Chrsyler engines near Minnesota on Ebay that someone can get for around 450.00 purchase and shipping included and they come with the era air cleaner and oil filter that are intact for this price. The grill is intact and not damaged, just missing the bottom crank handle cover and all the trim on the hood is intact and not damaged also. These are hard to locate and find unless stripped and missing everything. It still has the heater assembly inside and works. This has just about everything on the truck and not missing much other than the wiper motor for the driver side. It only came with one wiper and the hole is still there. This is a 82 year old truck and is SUPER shape for the age. I rebuilt all the wheel cylinders and the truck is able to stop on it's own. I purchased two front new brake shoe setups off Ebay, the rear brakes were still in great shape so we left them on those also. It has a heavy duty gas tank custom built and I'll flush it out and have it ready in the next few days to set it back on the ground to test the clutch further. Holler back with any questions and I'll try to get back to you asap. I DO NOT NEED ANY HELP SELLING THIS, I would consider some trades, no bike or boats, would consider rat rods partial trades and cash. If it does not sell in the next couple of weeks I will pull the motor and begin tearing it apart to street rod it and chop the roof and box the frame to install a fuel injected dodge 5.7 or 6.2 hell cat engine. I'd like to see someone restore it to glory but if not sold I am going to hot rod it and sell off the drive train and factory parts I don't use. This truck has a clear North Carolina titled in my name and has been verified by the NCDMV inspection and theft division before it was issued to me. So this is a solid buy with no issues for the buyer to worry about other than getting a new block for the truck. Email me or message me with any questions you may have and I'll do my best to get back to you ASAP, we can talk or text over the phone. Thanks for looking. Mike
