Description of 1970 Dodge Charger Charger 500

Up for auction is this very cool 1970 Dodge Charger 500. 318 V8. auto trans on floor. Came from factory with B7 blue paint. B5 blue interior. buckets with console. and white vinyl top. VERY pretty car when new! The car has disc brakes. all new poly suspension bushings. and new rear leaf springs. The little 318 fires right up. and goes in gear smooth. I would call it a running driving car for all practical purposes. It does need some exhaust work and the water pump just started seeping. so a day of tinkering and you can start driving it around. The 318 is probably numbers matching. but I have not crawled underneath it and checked the numbers to verify. The body is southern and far better than average. The whole back end of the car is still it's original B7 paint. The tail panel is nice. decklid looks perfect. one small spot on inside upper lip. The rear valance is fixable. driver's quarter is borderline fix or replace. The passenger 1/4 needs replacing and it needs a little work around the back window. mainly the upper side. That's pretty much it! The floors and trunk and frame in this car is amazing! The important parts of this car the "bones" are in incredible shape. A couple of full quarters and this car will be super nice. The doors look good. As you can see it has a 1969 front cap on it. The car was in a fender bender years ago and a 69 parts car was laying around so it's sheet metal was used. Looks better in my opinion than a 70. The radiator support is a little tweaked at the bottom. nbsp;but it's not bad. Driver's side fender is nice. hood is nice. grill is above average with some work needed on passenger side. Passenger side fender needs a lower back patch. The front valance is inside the car as well as the front bumper. Front bumper needs replaced. The interior is mostly original and the dash looks great. no cracks in the pad. The seats are missing. and a driver's side seat has been installed out of something unknown. As you can see the floors are in cherry shape. Like I said this is a great project car that is more solid than 95% of projects out there. And the best part is it's a running moving car! You can actually drive it while you work on it. instead of it sitting in your garage for 5 years while you save pennies to get it running.
