Description of 1955 Dodge Other Pickups C3B model 108" wheelbase, lowside pickup bed

This pickup is in reasonably good shape. It is the C3B model of 1955 with wrap around windshield. It has the short lowside bed. which looks much better than the bigger box in my opinion. I obtained this pickup after the previous owner expired and he hadn't driven the truck for a few years. The true mileage is unknown and the vehicle mileage is exempt on the title. The major body damage is the rear driver fender; other panels are straight. including the tailgate. Only glass on passenger door is cracked; windshield and the remaining glass is in good shape. There is some surface rust. but floors are solid. Exterior has some rust on bottom of passenger door. otherwise vehicle is rust free. Bed is reasonably solid without holes. but will need repair replacement due to wear. Tires hold air. but probably may need replacing when truck will be driven again. The truck originally was equipped with a Dodge flathead 6 engine. but currently has a 318 CID Poly V8 Plymouth engine in it. Not currently running. but should run with standard maintenance/start up procedures (pickup has not been run for about 7-8 years). A 1954 331 CID Chrysler Hemi engine (out of a New Yorker) with trans comes with the pickup. That engine has it's original Carter carburetor as well. Should run and would be an excellent choice for this pickup truck to replace the current 318 V8 - will make a really powerful and sexy pickup -- you'll get all the attention at car/truck meets with this as everyone else will have a Chevy or a Ford. There just aren't many Dodge pickups of this era around anymore. especially the short lowside bed examples. There is no warranty with this pickup and either of the two engines; the buyer is responsible for all transportation costs and arrangements; though I will do provide reasonable assistance when it is picked up. Payment by Paypal or certified check is acceptable. Please contact me with questions and I will do my best to answer them. Thanks for looking and good luck with bidding!
