Description of 1992 Dodge Ramcharger 2 Wheel Drive

LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.
It's now parked on a New Orleans thoroughfare, well marked for sale. I can cancel this listing anytime (if no bids), if I get a hard local offer. I just drive it around the neighborhood every few days to keep everything fresh. I have a new vehicle now. If you look on Ebay or other sites, these just aren't available, unless for scrap or totally rebuilt for show quality. Which you could because everything's original except standard repairs.
I will donate it for a special and little-kown tax credit, before I lower the price.)
I am 2nd owner and had no wrecks. This is vehicle is very rare, and needs very few fixes. But it could easily be reconditioned to a much higher value, I have too many other needs at my age to take on another project. Just got annual State inspection sticker in February. Still fine as-is for city commute, mechanically maintained. Paint is failing, but no rust throughs apparent anywhere. I notice Ebay has a free history check, and if this vehicle was "collided" with I sure can't see any clue of it, except that someone did a partial repaint on either top or bottom. Only top half is peeling any. I had rustproofing done to top to preserve, but did not repaint whole truck because a buyer might want a different color. Drives well, I love the tight turn radius of the 2wd, better than a 2000 Tahoe company truck I had. Short one quart of oil every 3 months/3k miles. Only a puff of smoke when started, no obvious oil leaks. Has the typical high speed "jiggle" of Ramchargers assembled with riveted frame, I just never got around to having the solid weld solution done. Has the mutiport fuel injection introduced that mid-year, moves like a bat outta hell! Drivetrain and accessories all function nice. Very nice overdrive manual overide feature. Inside lighting package. Electric brake tow package included but included module had been uninstalled. Tow hitch/receiver installed. Has the premium OEM am/fm/Dolby cassette/Cd-rom factory four speaker system. I reupholstered driver's seat "houndstooth pattern", but it wore through again, the other seats are good shape. Rear seat folds down and locks as designed. Passenger seat tilts to allow access to rear seat. Has aftermarket car alarm with remote monitor "beeper". All flooring is factory heavy duty vinyl (work truck option?) Note the super-rare Dodge "turbine" alloy wheels. Wheel locks in place. Original R-12 a/c works great (except anti-freeze-up sensor needs adjust or replace)! Handles nice. Haynes repair manual and oem owners manual included, and a few extra consumer spare parts. Clean interior, with a few minor trim defects. A/c cooling coil has easy access panel for cleaning! Some known defects I didn't have the time to get fixed, radio antenna was messed up by car wash so radio reception is poor (included new antenna in box), gas gauge works only when it's getting low (included new oem tank float sensor in box.), speedometer always reads very low. Original jack jammed up (have generic one included). Rear tires are just about about ready for change. Hood release cable needs replacement. Has a few cuts on rear storage vinyl floor, none more than 6". A few rock marks on windshield, none spreading. Includes original center caps for wheels (but not installed because a few of the screw posts broken by wheel balancing guys, saved in box). Slight fracture at top at gas tank causes odor around vehicle with more than 20 gal of gas in tank. Squeaky steering wheel bearing needs a little oil-has no bearing play, water reservior has fracture leak above the full mark, wiper-delay feature getting a bit skittish. Heater works great since vacuum controlled flow restrictor was removed when it broke. This list is really getting to the minor level, so that's about all I can come up with without getting boring. With this age obviously there are other "old-age' creaks and noises, and hidden dirt and debris to hunt down! Sale is obviously "as is", no warranties, except that I have disclosed any defects I'm aware of. You can walk away from the deal after hands-on inspection and typical 5 mile test drive, but no refund on any deposit to hold the sale for you.
