Description of 1953 Dodge Power Wagon

UNIQUE 1953 Dodge Power Wagon. This Former Military truck was obtained by the Hackensack. Minnesota Fire Department. They Painted it Red. Added the Cherry on Top and insignia on the Doors. While in their possession the original 6 cylinder engine blew. One of the Fireman had a 1970's Dodge pickup with a 360 CI V-8. They installed this engine with a two speed Torque Flite Trans. thus the exact mileage is not known. Subsequently. the truck was sold years ago by the Fire Department to a Gentleman in Minnesota and I purchased from him. There is a Paper Trail back to the Fire Department. I cannot emphasize enough. this Engine Runs Excellent after having a full tune up. new fuel filter. fuel tank replacement and fuel line cleaned. The Trans Shifts great. Lights Function. The interior brown bench seat is not torn or ripped. The entire top is removable and the front windshield folds forward. This is an all steel truck with NO Rust holes. Yes there is surface rust where the paint is peeling away. This Truck is a work horse. geared very low. so traveling at 50 MPH. you are running at High RPM. She will haul and pull heavy loads. We removed the insignia from the doors and pulled the Cherry from the top only because the seal beneath it was leaking. We do have the Fire Department Cherry and the Brush Guard that attaches to the front. Use her as a work truck. drive her in parades. pull the floats in the parades or take the top off. fold the windshield forward. put your boards in the bed and head to the beach. She is a 62 year old Military vehicle. No Titles are issued for military vehicles and each state/jurisdiction varies in how they tag these autos. Please check with your MVA. This vehicle is not restored and has great patina. Unique! Finally. Again. I must emphasize that this truck runs great!!!! Thank you for viewing and I hope someone gives her a new home. I urge you to please personally view. inspect and drive this piece of American History. located in Mayer. Arizona.
