A rebuilt (05/27/2005 by AmTrans - San Diego, CA) A727 HD 3-speed auto TorqueFlite/LoadFlite for trucks, transmission with aftermarket (PML as-cast finish) deep aluminum finned pan to help propel this classic Dodge truck.

Carburetor Info:

* Holley #6160-1

* Series ............. 4160 {Vacuum Secondary}

* Application ..... 1968-71 Mopar 340 {275 HP Base}

Rear Axle Info:

Spicer (Dana) 44 axles use an 8-1/2-inch ring gear bolted to the carrier by “10 bolts” that are 3/8 x 24 right-hand thread. The case itself is 9-3/8 inches in diameter. The cement mixer-shaped differential cover also has 10 bolts. Standard case Dana rear with 3.23 gear ratio and limited slip differential is assumed equipped on this vintage D100 truck.

This is a three (3) owner truck (CA open / clear Vehicle Title in hand) with the 2nd owner who purchased the vehicle used on 06/29/1984 for $2,200 and then owned for over 36 years and rebuilt / repainted this now antique truck.

There are less than 119k miles on the truck since purchased / delivered new in December 1972 with approx. 6k miles on the professionally rebuilt / upgraded motor and trans. This classic Mopar pickup truck runs out fine on pump gas distributed from the single 25 gallon fuel tank located directly behind the front seat inside the truck cab. Binder of receipts available for all work done to the truck by the 2 prior owners over the years, including the exterior body and re-paint work completed in July 2004 or 16+ years ago using White PPG#91051 & Tan PPG#28409. The truck inside bed & tailgate areas are still original patina showing only minor wear & tear. Truck body panels are mostly rust-free, however, some minor paint bubbling is visible on the exterior top of the right front fender near the antenna base and inside the engine bay, lower RH & LH door panels. The frame and undercarriage area was left untouched and has surface rust only, no rust through holes. Truck has power steering, power brakes (front disc & rear oversized drum), A/C (converted to R134, but leaks down), very rare optional locking tool storage box on RH lower exterior of truck bed and speed/cruise control option (all in place, but currently disconnected from Holley carb). Interior has a nicely re-upholstered front bench seat for a comfy ride, equipped with aftermarket gauges for oil pressure, water temp and vintage Suntuner 8,000 RPM tach, along with non-original Pioneer stereo system and two floor mounted box speakers. Six year old 16” Bridgestone Dueler A/T Radial tires (P245-70R16) with approx. 6k miles mounted on 5-lug, reconditioned in 2004 silver & clear powder coated 16” Eagle alloy 8-spoke wheels and HD Rubber Truck Mud Flaps all around. Original spare Polyglas G78-15 tire is still with the truck and holds air. Truck was ordered new on 10/25/1972 and delivered on 12/12/1972 from Howard Taylor Dodge in San Diego, CA by local area resident, E. D. Kohl, and original dealer order / vehicle delivery documentation confirms same. The original blue CA license plates (88 249N) remain on the truck since new and come with the truck to continue its legacy.A truck cover will come with the vehicle, along with some spare parts. Documented details on file for the replacement / rebuilt Chrysler “LA” Series hi-performance 340 c.i. - 4bbl. small block engine / A727 HD TorqueFlite automatic 3-speed transmission rebuild and partial truck restoration. Comes with set of color photos in plastic sleeves showing body shop work performed including stripping, sanding down body panels to bare metal, clean, prep & repaint truck exterior, underside of hood and door jambs to factory appearing original White & Tan two tone colors with replacement wood grain decal trim inserts. Chrome trim all intact and in VGC. Truck has operational tailgate and cargo lamp with the bed area in solid, original condition. Undercarriage area is not restored.
