The ’70 Charger was the last of this body that was called the coke bottle due to the shape of the fenders and quarters. The one we have for you is done like The General lee right down to the Dixie Horns and it comes with a 440. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior. interior. and driveline of the Dodge. but first we would like to tell you a little about us. Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned. operated. and own our entire inventory. no consignments. and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So. that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. The body is straight and solid with good lines and fit of the panels. Everything is covered in Orange and it’s accented by the General Lee decals. All the glass looks good with new seals around the windshield and back glass. Also. the weather stripping around the doors and trunk has been replaced. The final exterior touch is the set of American Racing Wheels 15x7 with White Letter Tires. Next. we will take a look at the interior of The General. On the inside it’s done in black with bucket seats and console. The seats. carpet. and door panels all look new. When you look at the dash it’s also black with a good dash pad and trim. The gauges have been upgraded to a set of white face. The console and shifter looks correct for this year and model. Finally. we will take a look at the driveline of the Dodge. Under the hood it’s powered by a 440 V8 that is mate to a 727 Trans and an 8 ¾” Rear End. The engine has a Holley carb with chrome valve covers and breather. The exhaust runs through stock manifolds and flow master exhaust. When the car was painted they did do all the inner fenders and firewall in the same orange as the exterior. This Charger has Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes. At the time of the build the pans were stripped and painted with new brakes lines. fuel tank. and fuel lines installed.
