Description of 1973 Ferrari Daytona 365 GTB4

This fantastic example of what made the classic prancing horse the powerhouse in the sports car market is a true time capsule. Bear in mind the entire run of the Daytona line was thought to include just over 1400 production units built and that includes all right hand drive and spyder versions. This is a rare chance to own one of the most rare and sought after GT cars the world has ever known, the Ferrari Daytona. The same prestigious model used when Dan Gurney and Brock Yates set a world record for the Cannonball driving their Ferrari Daytona coast to coast with an average cruising speed of 150mph.
Officially designated the Ferrari 365 GTB/4, is a two-seat grand tourer produced by Ferrari from 1968 to 1973 and featured the 275's Colombo V12 bored out to 4.4 L. It was the only production Ferrari to use a high-performance dry sump lubrication system on its engine. The official cars were built in three batches of five cars each, in 1970-1, 1972 and 1973. They all featured a lightweight body making use of aluminium and fibreglass panels, with plexiglas windows. The engine was unchanged from the road car in the first batch of competition cars, but tuned in the latter two batches to 400hp in 1972 and then around 450hp in 73 making this the most powerful road going Daytona produced. The accolades this car has brought in over the years is astounding but if you're interest has brought you this far you already know what this car is and what it can do.
