You are bidding on a beautiful, investment quality, RED 1986 Ferrari 328 GTSi with only 38,800 miles.

She has a recent, engine out ($15,000) service completed by LFSC (LFSC.com) a certified Ferrari dealership located in Lake Bluff, Illinois, 60044.

Arguably one of Pininfarina's most elegant designs, the 328 has become an iconic collectible - and quite affordable. Instantly recognizable as a vintage Ferrari, she is welcome at any car show, Ferrari event, and is a pure pleasure to drive in fine weather. With 270hp on tap, and a weight of only 2,800lbs, she has plenty of pep. The top speed is quoted as 168mph.

I reluctantly must sell this car to continue the financing of my technology business.

I purchased the car from Lake Forest Sports Cars two years ago and have only put 200 or so miles on her. Soon after the purchase, the shifter became stuck in gear, and the good folks at LFSC fixed it immediately and at no cost. They are the real deal. The car is now 100%.

The exterior is in excellent condition with extremely small imperfections. There will always be a minor chip or scrape it seems. The tires appear new, the brakes work perfectly, and after the obligatory warm up - she shifts perfectly.

Of course, she sounds amazing.

The engine compartment it very clean and the interior shows very well, devoid of the usual "sticky" surface problem plaguing other vintage Ferrari's.

The Air Conditioning works well - but was never a Ferrari strong suit. The steering is crisp and all of the gauges work perfectly. Lake Forest Sports Car went over the car thoroughly before I acquired it and there is nothing to note that is wrong with the car.

The original spare, books, jack, etc. are all present.

Now is the time to buy a 328, the market has cooled off a bit and, before it takes off again, this is an affordable classic Ferrari.

I've set the reserve at a price to protect my investment but will listen to all offers.

The title is with our bank - as we leasedthecar. You'll payoff the car with them - as they have the title.

Again, I am a collector, have owned 15 or so Ferrari's and am bullish on 328's right now. You should be too. It's the best Ferrari under $100,000.

When comparing 328's - or any Ferrari, the records of maintenance are critical. My car has the recent records from a certified Ferrari dealer - beware of cars without it. You'll only regret the purchase later. I know, I've been there. Ferrari repairs are not for the faint ofheart - so insist on the records and service history.

Methods of Payment ...

Certified check, Bank to Bank wire transfers, or 3rd-party financing. All funds must be in US dollars only. Deposit Due ...

The successful high bidder will submit a $1000 NON-REFUNDABLE Deposit due immediately following the close of the auction. This $1000 deposit is good towards the purchase of the vehicle and will be deducted from the total amount of the purchase. We accept PAYPAL only for the initial deposit only. If the vehicle cannot be picked up or paid for completely within 7-days from the close of auction, Deposits and fees are NON-REFUNDABLE if the vehicle is not paid for.

Balance of Payment Due ...

The buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due within 7 days of the close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle.

Vehicle Titles ...

The title for this car is at our bank. You will pay them and they will release a clear title. If payment is made other than wire transfer (ie: certified check), I will hold the title for 5-10 business days or until ALL funds have cleared. I can assist with shipping. Storage fees will apply if the car stays with me after 7 days of the auction close, unless otherwise agreed upon.

Buyer Inspections ...

Every effort has been made to accurately and fairly describe this vehicle to you. I have tried to disclose all information known about this vehicle for you to make an informed decision. I have posted many pictures, especially those that show flaws. Please be advised that used vehicles will have typical scratches and dings inherent for their year and mechanical parts are subject to fail. I welcome and recommends a buyer's inspection. If you plan to have a buyers inspection, please make sure you inspect the vehicle prior to the auction ending. Buyer is responsible for any inspection charges and fees. Buyers Inspections MUST be completed prior to 24 hours before the end of auction.

This car is NOT brand new. It is personally owned by me. Please expect a certain amount of wear, use, and flaws, as is standard on ANY pre-owned vehicle that has been driven. All pre-owned vehicles including this one may have dings, nicks, chips, scratches and any other marks that are associated with use consistent with age and mileage of the vehicle. Any known obvious defects that are not normal wear and tear will be noted in the listing.

If your deposit is not received within 1 Day of the close of auction or if the balance is not paid in full within 7 days following the close of auction, we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle or sell the vehicle to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer. Venue for any legal action such as claims, motions, litigation, settlements, or any legal action associated with this sale from either the buyer or seller is to take place in the State of Illinois.
