| 1978 FIAT SPIDER 124CONVERTIBLEYou are bidding on a very nice 1978 Fiat Spider 124 Convertible. Gorgeous red with black leather interior. This car has the 1. 8L 4 cylinder engine with 2 barrel carburetor and manual 4-speed transmission. Although the speedometer shows 30209. I can not be sure that is correct as it came with several additional parts. including another speedometer with 80K miles on it. Whatever the case. it will have a few more miles at sell time. as I'm enjoying driving it daily. This vehicle sat for @ five years prior to being restored. That restoration included removing rust from underbody and welding new panels in place. New timing belt. new carpets. new rubber moldings. new trunk liner. new battery. new ball joints. new master cylinder. All fluids were drained and replaced with synthetic engine oil. new transmission and rear end oil. New wiper blades. New paint that is gorgeous at 10 feet. but closer inspection reveals thin spots from over buffing. Still wonderful curb appeal. Not concourse ready. but it will certainly turn some heads at your local vintage sports car club. This car runs. drives and stops as it should. The engine is strong with good compression on all cylinders. Transmission shifts smoothly. it does not smoke or leak any oil. Gets 30+ mpg with parts very accessible and surprisingly inexpensive. Has Pioneer Stereo and Kenwood speakers and comes with the original FIAT tool set. All gauges work as they should. even the clock keeps good time. The convertible top and boot are in excellent condition with no leaks. This great car is priced to sell with a very low reserve. nbsp;especially considering the NADA book on it and will certainly make someone the perfect. reliable sports car for Spring break and Summer.
